🚀 CalSync v1.1.0 is LIVE — Universal Mode (iPad + More)
This is one of the biggest updates we’ve released. We’ve introduced Universal Mode — which opens CalSync up beyond just reMarkable. 📥 Download Latest Version (1.1.0) Apple Silicon (M1 / M2 / M3) https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/arm64/releases/latest Intel Mac https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/x64/releases/latest Windows https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/win32/releases/latest What’s New — Universal Mode - Works with all popular tablets (including iPad) - No Developer Mode required - Generate your planners exactly the same way as before - Planners are transferred manually in this mode 💡 What this means Until now, CalSync was tightly integrated with reMarkable. With Universal Mode, you can now: - Use CalSync on devices like iPad - Generate planners anywhere - Stay in full control without needing special device access This makes CalSync more flexible, portable, and accessible. ⚖️ Important to understand - reMarkable Mode → Full automation (push directly to device) - Universal Mode → Manual transfer, but works everywhere - You now choose what fits your workflow. We’re opening the door wider with this release. More flexibility. More devices. Same powerful planner system. Let me know what device you’re using this on 👇

Maybe dumb question: are notes preserved on Kindle Scribe as with reMarkable?
What I like (and don't)
The calendar integration works well, the carrousel looks like a USP, haven't seen this elsewhere. Pushing without loosing notes works good. But there are still a lot of features that are missing IMHO. Things like - Pick a color for your calendars. And maybe pick a color for text (like white text on dark backgrounds) - Set SOD / EOD times for scheduling, with option to only show the full hours, leaving the halves blank. - With regards to the above: an event that only takes 30 minutes is so small in the Time Block view, it can't be read without zooming in, due to the height / spacing of a 30 minute block - Translation is only half done. The German Holiday calendar that is a built in pick retrieves the English description, e.g. New Years Day instead of Neujahr. On pages inserted after the daily pages, the date is not formatted like europeans use to, 2026-04-08 instead of e.g. 08.04.2026. The budget template is USD despite language being set to German. I may try adding a German ICS for the holidays to my saved calendars - The small icon that should link to the overview of the summary pages doesn't work. This makes it a pain to switch from the daily view to pages added (I created 3 sections with each 2 pages) - Links don't work in preview mode on Mac (they work with other PDFs, so it's not a Mac problem I guess), but they do work on my rM (except - see above) - Monthly view is missing links to Weekly view - The choice of templates for summary pages is very limited, it's missing a simple checklist, the Journal Checklist with 2 columns , only tick boxes in the first, and only every second line - that's a miss for a simple to do list - Changing the device doesn't change to page layout / size. I tried setting my device to Move instead of Pro, hoping it would improve readability (see above, 30 minute events) - More layout options for the daily view. Schedule left / right. Variable boxes for Top x, Tasks, Short Notes, defining how many lines each has - Options to mix the layouts. Daily view as Time Blick, Weakly View in Event Stack (again: the spacing between the lines in Weekly View with Time Block is way to small), Options to leave views out, like monthly, as I never use it - Better spacing for the yearly view, as the text is really small although readable, maybe split on to pages?

Clarity
I was truly wrong. I was under the impression that the calendar bundles worked in conjunction with the calendar sync app to actually make the iCal planner, be more like a real planner with to-do list and things like that instead of it just being a Calendar app, which I love the fact that I can have at work now was not very thrilled about the lack of Tech Support setting it up if somebody just said you need to make it a static IP address and it’ll work that would’ve been handy information. I do feel that they need to add functionality into the Calendar app to incorporate to do list and blank pages and multiple other things that you would use in a real planner. The word planner used in the experience is a force it is simply a calendar.

I do hope it's moving fast in that direction
