Let's Welcome Des! 🎉
@Des Dreckett Welcome to Skoolology! 😊 So good to see you here! I remember you from U2U, and I’ve followed bits and pieces of your YouTube journey, too. You’ve been busy building and experimenting! I smiled when I saw your 30-day win... more traffic. Nice and specific. With everything you’ve already been testing around YouTube and community, I think there could be some really interesting conversations around that here. Skoolology is very much a place where we learn from one another, test things, share what we're seeing, and figure out what actually works. Really glad you found your way here, Des. We're looking forward to learning more about what you’re building and where you want to take it. 💙
Let's Welcome Des! 🎉

🐼 Help Us Choose the Face of Skoolology!
We need your help with something important... Skoolology is getting a mascot! 🎉 But, why a mascot? Because every great community has a personality. A mascot is more than a cute character. It's a symbol of who we are, what we believe, and how we want people to feel when they join us. At Skoolology, we're not trying to build the biggest communities. We're helping people build communities that are welcoming, intentional, and worth coming back to. We wanted a guide that represents that mission. After working with the incredibly talented @Oddysey Campbell, she brought our vision to life with these amazing panda concepts. Huge thank you to Odyssey for the creativity and care she put into these designs. 👏 Now it's your turn. Meet the candidates... 🧭 Panda #1: The Community Guide "I'll help you find your place." This panda believes every member deserves a warm welcome and a clear next step. He represents: ✨ Belonging before broadcasting. ✨ Encouragement over intimidation. ✨ First wins that build confidence. ✨ Communities where people feel seen. If you've ever joined a community and immediately felt at home... This is that panda. 📚 Panda #2: The Wise Professor "Let's discover what really works." This panda is curious, thoughtful, and loves learning. He reminds us that great communities aren't built on trends or hacks. They're built on understanding people. He represents: 🧪 Research over assumptions. 💡 Thoughtful design. 📖 Continuous learning. 🧭 Principles that stand the test of time. He's always asking... "Why does this community work so well?" 🌍 Panda #3: The Explorer "Let's build something worth discovering." This panda is adventurous and optimistic. He knows community building is a journey, not a race. He carries a compass because direction always matters more than speed. He represents: 🚀 Curiosity. 🌱 Growth through experimentation. 🧭 Courage to try something new. 🤝 Building alongside others. He reminds us that your next breakthrough often starts with one small step.

I'm handing you $100, but there's a catch. ❌️ You can't save it. ❌️ You can't invest it. ❌️ You can't spend it on your business. ❌️ You can't use it to pay a bill. ✅️ You have to spend every penny on something FUN for yourself. What are you buying? 👇😂

@Donna Thornton "The freedom to just go where life takes you, experience the world, and help (as many as possible) people along the way!" Added that phrase with minor adjustments thanks. ❤️
👀 I spy a Skoolologist!
Look who popped up in my Facebook feed today. Our very own @Lisa Vanderveen getting some Growth Boost love out in the wild. There’s something pretty cool about seeing a member of this community show up where you least expect it. Go, Lisa! We see you!🎉🙌 Who’s going to be the next Skoolologist I spy? 🔎

Week 1, Design for Clarity: Before Monday
I want to name something that happened in the comments this week before we close it out. One of you looked at a thing you had already built and realized it was the answer and then spent the week living it yourself. One of you went from trying to figure out what a complete set would look like to a first basic set that you will revise as teachers tell you what they need. One of you made a prototype, put it out there, and then watched your person find the courage to do the very same thing right after. And one of you found what you actually sell sitting at the end of your own sentence. Nobody got handed a framework this week. You answered three questions and built something. So here is the last one, and it is a short one. 💡What would it take to get your thing in front of your person before Monday? Not finished. Not polished. Just in their hands, however rough it is right now. Here is the thing about weekends. What feels urgent on a Thursday feels optional by Sunday night, and then it is next week, and then somehow it is September. Now, if your person is not somebody you can actually reach this week, that is alright. Some of you are building for people you have not met yet. 💡So then it becomes, who is the closest person you could show it to? 💙A friend who teaches. 💙Somebody who was standing where your person is a year ago. 💙Anybody who will look at it and tell you something true. So tell me in the comments. 💡What is the one thing standing between what you have made and somebody laying eyes on it? Sometimes it is a real thing, and sometimes it is just one more little piece of ready that we are still waiting to feel.
