New Video - Thank You Emails
Thank you emails are another great way to stand out because very few people send them. Learn why they are important and what to say. https://www.skool.com/job-search-powerup-9830/classroom/69289b9a?md=e8830e579c4f4c75b3094386b0542783 Below is a short highlight from the video.

@Robert Reed in job processing there's a lot of stressful to find job, after finding job, providing all documents required and still waiting for feedback.
Understanding Unemployment Rates
Most of the time, the ā€œunemployment rateā€ you see in the news (called U-3) only counts people who don’t have a job and are actively looking for one. But that number leaves out a lot of people who are struggling. U-4 adds in discouraged workers who want a job but stopped searching, while U-6 also includes people working part-time who really want full-time work, plus others on the sidelines who would take a job if one came along. In short: U-3 is the official number, U-4 digs a little deeper, and U-6 shows the full picture of how many people don’t have the work they want. Official unemployment rates are reported here.

@Robert Reed It's important for job seekers to understand the full picture beyond the U-3 number, especially when navigating a competitive market. As someone who supports professionals with tailored resumes, cover letters, and follow up strategies, I’ve seen how understanding these broader labor trends can help align application efforts more effectively with real opportunities.
Why "Powerup"?
I chose the word "Powerup" (as opposed to "Power Up") because it means a thing that gives you a boost. I am building this community to be a resource for job seekers and to give them an advantage to find new opportunities. Powerup (one word) - Noun - Refers to the thing that gives you the boost — the tool, resource, or advantage. - Common in gaming: a special item that gives a temporary advantage (speed boost, extra life, shield). - Example: ā€œNetworking is the ultimate career powerup.ā€ (the actual advantage you gain). Power Up (two words) - Verb phrase - Means to increase strength, ability, or energy — often sudden or intentional. - Originates from electronics (powering up a device) and video games (gaining extra abilities or lives). - Example: ā€œIt’s time to power up your job search.ā€ (take it to the next level, boost it).

@Robert Reed Thank you for the explanation, the distinction between "Powerup" and "Power Up" is both insightful and clever especially in the context of job seeking. Just like a resume, cover letter, or followup letter can be a job seeker's true powerup, your community offers that critical advantage many need to move forward with confidence.
