Wednesday wins!
Happy hump day yall! Share your wins from this week below, big or small! I’ll start - did a very uncomfy speed workout on Monday and hit more of the paces than I expected :) Your turn! 👇

It wasn’t quite this training week, but on Sunday I took a new friend up on an offer to visit her gym and she taught me her leg day routine! This was my first time setting foot in a regular fitness gym since college and I’ve been so intimidated to try it…but I did it and it was fun AND I think feeling more confident in strength stuff is going to really help me improve my marathon!
Hello!
Hi everyone! My name is Shawna and I live in New Jersey. I am running the Philadelphia marathon as my first marathon! I’m excited but scared 🤪

Welcome Shawna! I’ve heard great things about the Philly marathon! So excited for ya!
Hi marathoners!
I'm so happy to have discovered Taylor's podcast + this community as I train for my 1st marathon (May 2 in Durham, NC).

Hi Sophie, welcome! Congratulations on training for your first marathon! I’m trying to decide between Indianapolis and Dallas (which is local for me) for what will be my fourth marathon this year! I ran Dallas last year and loved how easy the logistics were, so just trying to decide if I feel like traveling for a race!
Athlete Spotlight: Emily Bailey!!
I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Emily for 1:1 coaching for a few months now to tackle some big half marathon goals, and her training block has been VERY untraditional. Shes been battling weather, injury, and a whole lotta treadmill runs, but despite it all she CRUSHED her longest run of training this morning!! Proud of you @Emily Bailey !!

Heck yeah Emily, way to get it done even when the going gets hard!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Hello from St. Louis
Hi everyone! Nice to meet you :) So excited to be running my first marathon this year. I have always wanted to “be a runner”. Out of college, 10+ years ago, I jog/ran a half marathon and enjoyed it. However, for years I had some health struggles which held me back - mostly mentally but also physically. I’ve gotten my health on track the past 2 years and have wanted to take running seriously. Now I’m grateful I’m healthy enough that I can. I am so lucky to have a charity bib to run the NYC marathon this year! My first stop on that journey is The Flying Pig half in Cincinnati this May. As a born and raised Cincinnatian I’ve always loved watching my friends and family participate and I’ve done the 5K and 10K in the past. So excited for the journey but also nervous for the challenge. Thanks for the community and support!

Hi Caitlin, welcome! Running with a charity is such a joy, and NYC is going to be awesome! I also got into running seriously after a few years of health problems, so I definitely relate to the motivation that comes from knowing how amazing it is to have a healthy body and mind! Looking forward to hearing more about your journey and cheering for ya along the way!!
