Transformed an HR workflow, compressing a weeks-long process into MINUTES
I joined this community in hopes of finding a guide on how to actually use Claude effectively....and I am truly impressed. I used @Jake Van Clief methodology and transformed a workflow that took my HR team weeks to complete across multiple stakeholder groups, down to 15 mins. One command in, and the entire workflow was wrapped up and waiting for my review in minutes. I am grateful I found this community....now teaching everyone about the importance of file structures while working within Claude. 🙏 Thanks Jake and everyone here for sharing your knowledge!

@Alexandre de Joncaire Narten BUILD MORE. Jk…but honestly it will allow us to focus more on human elements…training managers on how to effectively communicate, have tough conversations, what to do if they get pushback etc. I’m using this as how can we offload repeatable work and shift our focus to human conversations

@Albot Bot the employee specific data we upload it to a folder and Claude reaches out to it and pulls everything in. We do one input saying we need to do X, the census has been uploaded to start the workflow. All of the outputs that I need are either a fillable template or in reference files. I am still trying to figure out what the best path is here for the future…we have very specific templates that we need to be consistent and haven’t figured out if there is a better way for this to be structured. I built this out super fast and made it operational in a few weeks, and still learning so if anyone has any tips let me know!

Question - is Claude Cowork virtually the same as code? I create a whole file structure and automated a workflow in Cowork projects, so not sure I even need code...I am not an engineer so I don't think I see a path where code makes sense for me. Is Code better than CoWork Projects once your folder structure gets larger?

You just saw how the folder structure adapts to different use cases. Vote below, then drop your customized setup in the comments. What did you name your workspaces and why?

So I am working in Claude Cowork rather than code...I'm not a developer. In my instance (cowork), I would 1. set up the folder structure on my desktop (i.e. workspaces, context files etc.) 2. set up the project in cowork, and add in the claude.md (txt version in my case) with the workspaces, routing etc. > 3. point cowork to said desktop folder during the set up of the project....is that logic correct?
Who's here? Drop your intro.
Tell us three things: 1. What you do (job, industry, student, career-changer, whatever) 2. What brought you to Clief Notes 3. One thing you're trying to figure out right now related to computing or AI I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first I am Jake, I have been working in tech for 15 Years, building with Generative AI for 3 Years straight now! Excited to teach and learn! That's it. Simple, scannable, gives you data on who's joining and what they need, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

Hey everyone! I work as an HR Business Partner in tech...Given there is a huge push to adopt AI in most companies, I want to make sure I am as knowledgable as I can be on how to effectively use AI. I am particularly interested in learning more about effective prompting and folder set up, and this seems like a great place to learn!
