Ponder This
Happy Sunday everyone. I actually chose another musing for today until I read this in my Thich Nhat Hanh book today. This resonated deeply with me from his book, The Miracle of Mindfulness: "The Buddha once said that the problem of life and death is itself the problem of mindfulness. Whether or not one is alive depends on whether one is mindful." What are your thoughts after reading these words?

Hi @Shannon Pawlak Thank you for the curiosity! I was thinking of priviledge in the sense that not everyone is able to stop and consider or contemplate mindfulness. One example: there are folks that for one reason or another go through life in a survival mode/mindset. Every day all waking hours for years, decades or a lifetime they are tied up just trying to survive. This might not fit the mold for the aspiration of living a full live that some cultures strive to, but we can't say is not a life lived. Hope that helps understand a little of my perspective 😊

Creativity Grows With Practice
One of my pet peeves is when ladies say they are not creative. Of course you are! Creativity is not just crafts. It's the nice meal you prepared, the style of your clothing, your home environment. Our brains need to be creative to stay healthy. So, do that thing you 'think' you aren't good at and enjoy the process!

A flower bouquet mural. I've done murals before and even helped on some highly detailed ones, but something about a realistic buquet of flowers intimidate me. I have a half baked plan on how to tackle it, one of these days I'll finally try.

For me plot is importand. But I can get behind a book with a simple, day-in-the-life plot if the characters are intresting and well fleshed out.
