The Power of Being in the Right Community
Property can feel like a solo journey at the start, you’re learning, analyzing, second-guessing your decisions. But the reality is, your environment plays a huge role in how fast you progress. When you’re around people who are actively doing deals, asking better questions, and sharing real experiences, your standards rise without you even realising it. The right community doesn’t just give you information, it gives you perspective. You start to see what’s normal, what’s possible, and what’s actually required to move forward. Conversations become more valuable. You learn from other people’s wins and mistakes, which shortens your own learning curve. And when things feel slow or uncertain, being around the right people keeps you grounded and moving. Proximity creates momentum. The more you surround yourself with action-takers, the more you start to think and act like one. You borrow confidence before you’ve fully built your own, and that can be the difference between staying stuck and taking action. So I’m going to ask you this, are the people around you pushing you forward… or quietly keeping you where you are? 👇

I'm a single mum, so I only have my 3 girls and they cheer me on but I must say I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and being surrounded by experience and kindness.
SUCCESS STORY: Cheryl McGiver
I want to give a big shoutout to Cheryl McGiver from CAM Housing Ltd , incredible results in such a short space of time. She’s just picked up Biggest Action Taker of 2025 and an award for raising over £1 million in investor finance and that comes down to one thing… taking serious, consistent action. What makes this even more powerful is the timeframe. In just 5–6 months inside the academies, she’s gone from building momentum to being recognized at a high level. This is what happens when you stop trying to figure it all out alone and instead get around the right mentors and the right environment. With the support, guidance, and accountability from the team, progress speeds up, even when challenges show up along the way. Because let’s be real, deals don’t always go smoothly. But having the right people around you to reset and move forward quickly is what separates those who win from those who stay stuck. Cheryl has put in the work, stayed consistent, and stepped up and now it’s paying off. Proud of you, Cheryl. This is just the beginning. And for everyone else reading this, you don’t need years to see results. You need focus, support, and action.

Congratulations Cheryl what an amazing achievement in such a short amount of time. What would be your best piece of advice for someone just starting out with AFL and the team?
Affordable Housing Crisis… or Opportunity in Disguise?
A housing organisation called Homes for Wells has just celebrated 20 years of providing affordable homes to key workers in Wells-next-the-Sea and the impact is powerful. With a £5M portfolio and homes rented at around 80% of market value, they’re helping local families not just survive, but build a future. But here’s the bigger takeaway… Demand is still HIGH. Waiting lists are long. And despite rising rents, there are thousands of homes sitting empty or used as second homes in the same area. That’s the opportunity. This isn’t just a “housing issue” it’s a clear signal of where smart investors can step in, add value, and create win-win outcomes. Supporting communities while building long-term wealth. The best investors don’t just chase deals… they understand trends. And right now, affordable housing is where profit meets purpose in a powerful way. What’s your take on this.. challenge or opportunity? Let me know below. Link: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0rjkr9d9ywo

Definitely opportunity, it's similar to the sector I'm focused on helping, demand is outstripping availability and I plan to change that.
