Check-In #45 The Order of Operations in Your Music Career
Hey everyone, For this weekโ€™s Elevate Your Craft check-in, I want to touch on something a lot of you ask me about: "Whatโ€™s the right order to do things in my music career?" Full PDF, and download here https://www.skool.com/elevate-your-craft/classroom/d4c570ca?md=8c74b6aac833408d83b78607db712edc Releasing music, setting up socials, registering songs, building a brand: it can get overwhelming fast. The truth? Thereโ€™s no perfect sequence for all of it, but there is a smarter way to approach it. Hereโ€™s a quick breakdown to help you stay focused and on track: The Order of Operations (Simplified): 1. Check Your Artist Name AvailabilityMake sure itโ€™s clear, unique, and available on Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and as a .com. 2. Create & Finish Your MusicYou canโ€™t grow your brand without finished tracks. Get your songs done and dialed in. 3. Protect Your WorkCopyright your song before release. After release, register with: 4. Set Up Your SocialsDon't wait until release day. Build and engage before you drop music. 5. Release StrategicallyUse a trusted distributor. Plan your promo and visuals in advance. 6. Build Your WebsiteThis will become your digital HQ. Even a simple site helps you look pro. 7. Define Your Brand & StoryWho are you? Whatโ€™s your message? What do you look and feel like as an artist? 8. Develop a Live ShowWhether itโ€™s DJ sets, live instruments, or hybrid performance, start thinking about it now. This journey is more like a loop than a straight line. Youโ€™ll revisit each of these steps many times as you grow. Just keep stacking wins and showing up consistently. Keep creating, keep building. Let me know where youโ€™re at with this. Iโ€™m here to help. Hit me with any questions, comments or concerns.

This is great! Just wondering, but would the copyright and BMI/etc registration steps both be ignored for label releases?
Track Review today!
Hey everyone! So far from the comments and interaction, Track Review is 2nd most popular session so far. And Track Review is Today! Add your song links to this post (dropbox link, drive link (put all-access on) private soundcloud links, or you can add the mp3 links while in the group session. Its generally first come, first serve, so get your tunes in! Remember, this session is super positive, no song is a bad song. Some songs are ready to be released and others could use some more work. But its mostly subjective. We dive into mixing, arrangement, groove and how the song makes you feel and what you can do to take it to the finish line and release it! If you haven't clicked the link to add it to your calendar, do it here https://www.skool.com/elevate-your-craft/calendar?eid=6963f49915784603b139e3118a822119
