Conflict Personalities 🎭
Most of us don’t choose how we show up in conflict. We default to patterns we learned long ago. Some people avoid. Some push. Some analyze. Some try to smooth everything over. None of these are “bad.” They’re adaptive. They just stop serving us when they become automatic. Pause for a moment: When tension shows up, what’s your instinctive move? Share what you notice about your conflict personality in the poll below. No labels, no judgment. Awareness is the first pause.

Introductions 👋
If you’d like, answer any one (or all) of these to introduce yourself: 1️⃣ What is the first word that comes to mind when you think about conflict? 2️⃣ What’s something new you’re currently learning (big or small)? 3️⃣ What’s your favorite place in the world and why? (It can be a room, a city, a country, or anywhere that feels like home.) Share as much or as little as you'd like.

@Amayah Poston “Currently learning how to change my thinking to always positive” This is important…and it makes a lot of sense: wanting to always think positively is a very natural instinct. In here we will gently expand that by focusing on awareness and emotional regulation, so we can work with whatever shows up in healthier ways ☺️
Intro.
Hello community, my name is Thomas. I’m excited to be here and grateful to join the group. Conflict resolution is one of the most important foundational skills, yet it seems to be fading. In a time when we’re more connected than ever, many of us are losing the ability to have simple, respectful conversations about our differences. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning more about your goals and growth. Let's work together to make this a super active home for all of us.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful introduction Thomas. So glad to have you here!
WEEKLY MOTIVATION 🔥
Week 1: Slowing the Moment A Mental Note: “Not every reaction deserves a response. Some moments ask for understanding first.” Reflection Prompt: Think about a recent moment of tension: It could be something small or unresolved. What happened inside you before anything happened between you and the other person? 3 Things to Help You Navigate Conflict This Week: 1. Pause before responding, especially if your body feels activated. 2. Name what you’re feeling to yourself before naming it out loud. 3. Ask one clarifying question instead of making an assumption. And when in doubt, take a breath and PAUSE. HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK ALL! 🫶🏾

Let's Pause the Pattern.
Have you ever replayed a moment and wondered: Did I handle that well… or did I miss something? Inspired by the classic “Am I the A-hole?” format, this thread is a Pause the Pattern spin-off—without the verdicts. Instead of deciding who was right or wrong, we’ll do something more useful: ask better questions. How this thread works: - You share a real situation where tension, conflict, or miscommunication showed up - Keep it brief and grounded in what actually happened - The community responds not with judgment, but with questions that help you Think of it as a collective pause, not a trial. A few guiding principles: - No shaming, labeling, or “you should’ve…” statements - Curiosity over conclusions - Questions over opinions - Multiple truths can exist at once Please share only what feels safe and relevant. And if you’re responding to someone else, your job isn’t to fix them. It’s to help them see. If you’ve got a moment you’re still turning over in your head, drop it below. We’ll hold the questions together.
