Free Kubernetes Book: Platform Engineering on Kubernetes
Note: I ain't associated with Chronosphere or Manning Publications. A good book is available for free, so why not 😊 https://chronosphere.io/resource/platform-engineering-on-kubernetes/ Kubernetes can be challenging, particularly in organizations with diverse teams, various cloud platforms, and multiple technology stacks. The Manning book Platform Engineering on Kubernetes uses open source solutions and the latest best practices from the Kubernetes community to help you with these native challenges in cloud computing. Best wishes! 🫶 Naren
Philip Landed a Senior Cloud Job in just 2 Months 👑
Philip joined the KubeCraft Career Accelerator just 2 months ago, and today we can happily congratulate him on his new Senior Cloud Engineer job. Results take time, but sometimes they come fast with the right mindset and approach. After so many wins, I keep seeing the same pattern: - They commit to a full year year. This locks in the right mindset that makes all the difference. No more second-guessing, no distractions, just clear focus, motivation and steady progress. - They stop overthinking and just get started - They stick to one clear system instead of jumping around - They ask questions, get help, and improve fast instead of staying stuck. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t need years of experience. You just need to start and stick with it. The ones who do? They keep landing real results. It's no longer theory, it's a proven system. Congratulations Philip! 👑

Congratulations Phillip! 💐 Is there an interview with Phillip that we can watch or read?
Certifications: Worth the time and money?
With so many DevOps-related certifications available (AWS, Azure, K8s, etc.), which ones have actually provided value in your career? Which felt like a waste of resources? Which are on your radar but you're hesitant about? Let's cut through the marketing and talk real ROI on certifications!

Noise vs. Signal. Certifications are a clear signal. Experience combined with certifications is a crystal clear signal, though not Udemy certificates. This post has given me an idea to try an A/B test to see what happens; one CV mentioning certificates and another just no certification 🤔
I don't think DevOps have much to fear from AI, yet.
I've been working on a new project with GitHub actions, and trying out the new agent mode in VSCode alongside my normal devcontainer based workflow with neovim. Every time I ask it to help me with a workflow, it first asks to create the directory. For some reason, it can't understand that it has been there ever since the dinosaurs walked around on this planet. I don't think we have much to fear of AI just yet. In fact, I believe DevOps Engineers will become increasingly important with the rise of AI. Think about it: most, if not all AI training and inference happens on Kubernetes. The data & ML engineers want to have environments where they can do their best work and be productive within minutes. Who is going to do that job? Who is setting up the monitoring and scaling the infrastructure? It's you and me my friend. What do you think?

My experience using Cursor in Agent mode with Gemini 2.5 Pro (or Claude Sonnet 3.7) has been different. I am happy, but need to provide 1.) A decent plan 2.) A detailed context

@Sarhan Patel nothing. I enjoy in summers and hibernate and learn in winters. It is summer, so I am mostly outdoors and enjoying life. What about you? @Sarhan Patel
Levels 1 to 3? Say hello :-)
This post is for everyone who's still on levels 1 to 3. Go on, say hello :-) Anyone who's level 4 or higher is only allowed to use the reply function. Let's see if this works here -Mischa
