CLASS GUIDE 2025 TO 2026
(3-6-2026 -SEE BELOW FOR THE ATTACHED EMAIL TO OUR STUDENTS AT WATTS) Odie and I are working on an email to share with our students. We will discuss what we covered in 2025 with the handouts attached; and some new ideas for 2026 Tai Chi Chuan/Qigong classes. Thought you might want to do the same for the students you have taught or are teaching now. This gives something of a teaching plan for everyone. Here's most of what we sent them. ======================================================== Hello Tai Chi Family at Watts Towers. Last year we covered a lot and this year we hope to share with you some new and interesting ideas for yourself and perhaps family and friends. In the past we have gone through 24 Tai Chi Chuan, Yang Style. We have shared our personal Qigong/Exercises as well as The Eight Brocades, Five Animals and the Ten Qigong Form. Meditation Walking, Tai Chi Walking have been part of our Tai Chi Journey together. For some cardio we added some Capoeira and Maculele. We did some basic Wave Hands and hope to continue with the more advanced form of Wave Hands this year. As 2025 ended we showed you some hand qigong for improving your health as well as some cognitive hand exercises. We had hoped to do the individual videos of your Qigong, but there wasn't enough group participation to do that. Hopefully, you will be more willing to do it this year for your own health benefits. This year we want to bring in some Chess, Wave Hands, and more of what we have learned over the twenty plus years we have been learning and teaching. As a parent, I also want to send a shout out to Russell when was a teen he told me, "Mom, you shouldn't wear that, you don't look good in it anymore." I was surprised and then very thoughtful. So I joined the 24 Hour gym and got my old body back, so that he became proud of me and how I looked to him and his friends. That was a serious wakeup call for me. Odie and I hope that you are as healthy as we are when you are 77 and 88 years old. In fact we hope you are even healthier than us. We hope that you will consider becoming more involved, not just for yourself, but to share with your family and friends. Last year we had too many friends who realized at 60 years...it was nearly impossible for them to improve their health. Some are on walkers now. One can't even get out of bed by himself. Odie and I think about all those who can't get up for one reason or another and are determined to continue to do our best each and everyday possible.

@Zola Salena-Hawkins I see them. WOW! There is a lot of work here! Thank you for sharing. I have some handouts that I give to students as well. I don't want to overwhelm and you already have so much here. But, if you want something specific, please let me know. I have little visuals, such as the attached re. balance and posture. I so appreciate that you are willing to share your hard work. It helps more than you can imagine. Thank you.
Special Monthly Zoom Call Tonight! 🧘‍♀️✨
Hi everyone! I’m currently away volunteering at a Youth Camp through the weekend, so I’m thrilled to announce that Veronika Hoover will be leading tonight’s monthly Tai Chi Zoom call! Veronika brings a beautiful energy to the practice, and I know you’re going to love the session she has prepared for you. Here is a picture of her at our recent Sunset Tai Chi class. You might also recognize her from our viral Tai Chi for Beginners series. When: Tonight 6:00PM PST Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83011814361?pwd=SG5wdlNLRmt6MEIyMWxtTU9hVnovdz09 Here are some questions to help you prepare for the call tonight: 1. What lesson are you on? 2. What have you learned about Tai Chi in the past month? 3. What's your number one challenge with Tai Chi at the moment? 4. What questions do you have? A quick note: Even though I’m off-site at camp, I’m still here for you. If you have any specific questions, need feedback on your form, or just want to share a win, please message me directly here in Skool. I’ll be checking my inbox and will get back to you as soon as I’m back in front of a screen on Monday!

Have a good time at camp! They will love you. Veronica, thanks for taking over this month. Looking forward to meeting you.
Happy Friday! 🌅 See you in 2 weeks!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful and productive week across the globe. I’m sharing a photo from my sunset Tai Chi class here in Puerto Escondido last night. The energy was incredible, and I wanted to send some of that coastal calm your way. I’d love to see what your world looks like! If you have a second, share a recent photo in the comments. Whether it’s of a class you attended, taught, your personal practice space, or just a view from your corner of the world. I looking forward to seeing everyone from Europe, Africa, the U.S., and beyond in two weeks for our Live Zoom Gathering! Stay grounded and enjoy your weekend.
Happy Friday! 🌅 See you in 2 weeks!

This is pretty much what our world looks like here in NH. No outside Tai Chi for a long time! Thanks for posting your lovely picture. It gives us hope! LOL

Yikes! Brrrr
Left vs right
I have read that the right side is Yang and the left yin, which helps to explain why the first in the greeting is made with the right hand. In other places, I read that Yang is left & yin is right. Can someone please clarify for me. This issue came up during my class yesterday where I had a left-handed student who asked if she could make her fist with her left hand where she was more comfortable.

@Daniel Hoover Thank you for that very thoughtful answer. It is very helpful. It brings another question to mind that can wait until the next zoom. I was away & unable to make the last one.

Am I able to change the cc used for my fees online? Or do I need to call that in? Thanks.

@Daniel Hoover Could you send it to me as well, please? Also, did you see my post inquiring about left vs right?
