First off thank you @Shannon Boyer for creating an awesome space on Skool for people to share and get feedback!! My name is Matt Burns. Previously, I spent almost a decade helping build monday.com to $1B of annual recurring revenue. I spent 11 years building free communities, and now I'm building my first paid one. The funny thing that started this all was talking to other entrepreneurs and hearing the same thing over and over again: - I'm not happy with what I did yesterday. - I'm struggling and burning out today. And then I realized that I was doing the exact same thing. Despite having regularly solved this problem for other people when I was building my own team of 87 people. After quitting my corporate job, I stopped doing all of the things that worked, and I lost all of the infrastructure I built that made that happen. I was fortunate enough to get invited to see the Skool games a few months ago. This made me want to go all in on the platform after hearing the same struggles from all the winners. For me, I've slowly been realizing my business is just a reflection of me. And I was worried about failing with a paid community, hurting my status. So this community is also about facing those demons head on. Because my biggest problem was consistency and feedback loops. So now it's time to rebuild those systems I created for monday and help other entrepreneurs who are going through the same things! - Quick wins through creating your first CLEAR goals (replacing SMART goals) - Structured CLEAR goal setting every single week with checkins every day - Simplified active learning systems through spaced repetition - Silent co-working calls (this will be a bigger focus as the community grows) My goal is to do 100 DMs a week until I hit 50 incredible entrepreneurs and flip the switch to a premium community with all I've learned.
