Quick Locus of Control Tool
I’ve been using a simple locus-of-control exercise with people who feel over-responsible or stuck in anxiety loops. Clients sort stressors into: --Control (inner world, boundaries, coping) --Influence (relationships, outcomes) --No control (others, past, uncertainty) The key question: “Which circle is your anxiety living in right now?” It often opens deeper conversations around survival strategies, grief, and self-compassion. 👇 I’d love to hear from different perspectives: --Clinicians: How do you deepen this beyond psychoeducation? --Coaches: How do you help clients move from awareness to action? --Others: What helps you release what isn’t yours to carry? Looking forward to learning from this community.

I like the visual this created for me as a reader. I can see the benefit of having the client make circles with each category and fill them in accordingly. I haven't used this exactly but often I bring up "what's within your control" to create more awareness and acceptance of what isn't.
