Just two months into 2025, and success is already off the charts!
Asalamu Alaykum everyone. I just wanted to share my 2025 updates regarding my freelancing/entrepreneurship journey so far. After a challenging Q4, I reflected on my freelancing journey and the factors behind my lack of results. Was it my offer that needed to be refined? Was I just terrible at sales? Is the market saturated? I was managing to get my ideal clients on sales calls due to my relentless outbound client acquisition technique. But there was an issue... Every sales call seemed to end the same way: excitement, a vague promise to follow up, and then complete silence. I decided to have a chat with one of my mentors who runs a successful IT Tech company, and he left me with one profound advice where he said: " Make saying yes easy." And it suddenly clicked for me. Offer clear next steps. Instead of leaving the call open-ended, for example, say --> “Let’s get started today. I’ll send over the agreement, and we can have everything in place by [date]. Sound good?” The results? Halfway through Q1, and I've closed 4 clients from different countries (Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and Canada) and niches (SMMA, Website Optimization, E-commerce, and Email Copywriting), along with having a few more potential deals in the pipeline heading into the second half of Q2. What did I learn through all this? Don't be afraid or shy enough to talk about your struggles—one insight could change everything. How is your 2025 going so far? P.S. A few Pivot2Tech members recently visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and I had the opportunity to sit down and discuss all things business with them, one of them being Mr.Pivot2Tech himself. 👀 @Shuayb A & @Jamil Karabaev, It was nice to meet you both. Hopefully, I will see you guys again.

Jazak Allahu khairan for your post! Also, would be cool to meet up when i'm back in Saudi as well. I took a semester off just to hustle but hopefully when i'm back (around end of august) would be cool to organise something. Keep It Up!
Webflow - Masjid Website Mock
Almost done working on this home page for a local masjid that I made for practice (just need to optimise for mobile/smaller devices). Looking to get feedback from you guys. I struggled a bit with the top section/nav bar. Couldn't get those elements wider to the edges. Help/tips welcome Link below: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/masjid-mock?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=masjid-mock&preview=953ff3590545c57a180e82ba41e266a8&workflow=preview

@Mohamed Kaddour I've managed to incorporate the CMS for upcoming events. I've left classes section for now as it's just for practice. I've also made it more responsive for mobile devices as well. Thanks again for the advice! https://preview.webflow.com/preview/masjid-mock?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=masjid-mock&preview=953ff3590545c57a180e82ba41e266a8&workflow=preview

I can't seem to open the second link (the developer/designer link) you posted. But anyways, it looks really good so far! I like the nav links and buttons actuallu work and take you to another page which you've actually designed and filled with some content. Nice! I would just suggest, move the 'contact us' button at the top of the page slightly to the right so that it isn't touching the rest of the nav bar options. Also, on the opening times page, it seems the content is slightly to the left and not quite in the middle of the page. Those are just my two cents (i'm still learning my self!) but otherwise looks good! Keep it up!
How web audits changes your approach to get MORE clients
If you're not offering website audits as part of your services, you're leaving serious money on the table. Website audits aren’t just about pointing out issues; they’re an opportunity to showcase your expertise, build trust, & open the door to larger projects. Think of it as a sales magnet. Here are 3 reasons why every web designer and freelance marketer should include audits in their toolkit: 1. Audits Attract Premium Clients Offering a professional audit positions you as a high-value expert, not just another freelancer. Clients with budget want someone who can spot opportunities and fix underlying problems...not just deliver a pretty design. 2. See it as a paid discovery phase Think of an audit as a way to get paid to learn about the client’s business, goals, and website. This helps you scope future projects and upsell other services. 3. Show, Don’t Tell Clients love numbers & tangible results. By delivering a detailed report on what’s wrong and how to fix it, you’re not just talking about your skills - you’re proving them. Whether it’s poor loading times, ineffective CTAs, or a lack of mobile responsiveness, the client sees exactly WHY they need your help. Aim to deliver value and pitch for a large project and a recurring service such as SEO or digital marketing. Who's up for a webinar in early-mid February btw? Drop some recommendations below.

Tutorial Recommendation
Really enjoyed Webflow University's 21-day portfolio course and wanted to recommend it to you guys. Once you've built it, you can easily replace the build with your own assets and styling and add it to your own portfolio. https://university.webflow.com/courses/21-day-portfolio-course
