You might have noticed a couple weeks of inactivity from the MCU side - we've had some issues to deal with (like being charged with fraud for no reason by stripe) and many personal issues - all of them have been SOLVED الحمدلله or are being solved and we can now continue full steam ahead. Just a reminder to myself and everyone else that evil eye exists but it's important we stay regular with our adhkar and keep moving. After this, you're going to need chains to hold you back from getting stuck in. - Weekly live Q&As: This will be open to everyone in the community to join and ask their questions, they'll be recorded and posted onto a channel that everyone will be able to access too for all of you to benefit. Just wanted to share two things I’ve learnt from my first year in the trade: 1- Be humble: Yes, you may have spent 2k on a new camera and another 1k on a laptop (example), thats doesn’t mean you're entitled to payment! If you don’t know how to use the equipment at hand… youre worthless. Clients pay you based on what value you can provide, so work for free, build your skills and then they’ll pay your bills!! 2 - Be patient: it might take a few weeks/months to recieve your first client, you might be losing money consecutively… trust me, its worth it. Being able to work for yourself, paying things for your family etc, you’d love the feeling! Salam Brothers, I am looking at investing in a new computer to keep up with editing and work. I do most of my work locally 90% and have future projects that may have me traveling for a few days. would you recommend I stick to 32G RAM desktop with a setup or a capable laptop? any insight will help. I wanted to update everyone on a video that I edited with help of a friend of an Eid giveaway that has become one of my best videos alhamdulillah. The video itself outperformed all my other videos in terms of engagement in the first 24 hours. Some key points that I taken away was: - Keep the edits as simple but enticing as possible to keep viewers hooked - I started off with a hook in order to keep the viewer from scrolling - I gave a call to action in the comments to build engagement with the post I just want to see if I could gain any advice on making this better for the next video in shaa Allah.
