Desktop or Laptop?

Salam Brothers, I am looking at investing in a new computer to keep up with editing and work.

I do most of my work locally 90% and have future projects that may have me traveling for a few days.

would you recommend I stick to 32G RAM desktop with a setup or a capable laptop?

any insight will help.
