One year in…

Today marks 1 years since I started filming and photography! Just wanted to share two things I’ve learnt from my first year in the trade:
1- Be humble: Yes, you may have spent 2k on a new camera and another 1k on a laptop (example), thats doesn’t mean you're entitled to payment! If you don’t know how to use the equipment at hand… youre worthless. Clients pay you based on what value you can provide, so work for free, build your skills and then they’ll pay your bills!!
2 - Be patient: it might take a few weeks/months to recieve your first client, you might be losing money consecutively… trust me, its worth it. Being able to work for yourself, paying things for your family etc, you’d love the feeling!
