Do we want to talk about the hype around the Foundation Sprint - Click?
Yesterday the creators of Sprint - Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky launched their new book "Click" - with a specific focus on exploring the problem space through the Foundation Sprint. In case you've missed the big news, here is an article giving a quick preview of what's inside https://www.lennysnewsletter.com/p/introducing-the-foundation-sprint If you know me or John Vetan, or you are familiar with our work at Design Sprint Academy, you probably also know that we've been challenging the Sprint method for years - as it missed exactly this critical part: problem discovery and empathy with the user. That's why we created the Problem Framing approach in 2018. For us it often felt that we are 🥊 fighting an uphill battle - as everyone else was happy with the sprint as is. With this new book and all the hype around it on Linkedin especially, I guess on one side it validates our though process and on the other side, it shows that teams are finally ready to think more critically before jumping into solutions. Or, it shows that "who says it' really matters. I guess every new thing needs to be validated by a an accredited voice in the industry. Otherwise, it is just someone's opinion. What do you think about the Foundation Sprint? I'd love to hear your thoughts. How do you plan to use it in your projects?
