🧠 Thoughtful Thursday: Keeping It Simple When Life Feels Heavy
This week tested me a bit. With everything going on with my daughter, I found myself battling stress eating and honestly feeling in that “whatever” mindset with tracking. Not because I don’t care… but because mentally, I just felt overwhelmed. I reached out to my coach and he gave me two options: 1️⃣ Track everything—even if I stress eat 2️⃣ Don’t track, but fully commit to my approved meals and keep things simple And it made me pause and realize… 👉 This journey isn’t just about nutrition or tracking. 👉 It’s about learning how to make better decisions when life isn’t perfect I chose to simplify instead of adding pressure. Focusing on: ✔️ Protein at each meal ✔️ Meals I already know and trust ✔️ Staying consistent with my routines Not perfect… but intentional And this right here is why I invest in BBB Inner Circle. Because it’s not just about hitting macros or workouts—it’s about the mental side. Learning how to adjust, stay grounded, and not completely derail when life happens. That’s the real win. 💬 Anyone else navigating stress this week? How are you keeping things simple without falling off?

Birthdays and all the food!!!
Today is my mini me's 6th birthday🖤 We're going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, her choice. When I say that I could happily consume about eight of their rolls with that cinnamon butter in one sitting I am not exaggerating. My goal is to have two, because I know that telling myself not to have any is unrealistic. Also checking the menu ahead of time and planning out my meal. Will have a protein shake and an apple this afternoon to prevent from being super hungry by the time we get there. Might just avoid the cake and ice cream but we'll see...wish me luck!!!😉

Leaving the comfort zone!
I thought I make a follow up, about the hardest thing I did yesterday as previously mentioned in Coach @Darren Liu post. https://www.skool.com/darrenliufitness/hard-reminder?p=de6919b0 The number one thing I love the most is planning as much and as far ahead of time. So when I received an invite to an investment & networking event on Tuesday (event was on Thursday) I was both excited but nervous at once! 😳 My brain was jumping between multiple choices: - I really want to go - I need some of my friends to join me - I‘m scared to embarrass myself so I shouldn’t go Non of my friends were free to go with me and my fear grew even bigger. But I remembered a quote: „By replacing fear of the unknown with curiosity we open ourselves up to an infinite stream of possibility!“ — Alan Watts So I had to finally make a decision to sign up by Thursday morning and I did! 😁😁 I left my home early with some snacks for my nervous system and on my way I stopped at the lake of constance to regain some inner strength! Turns out, controlling my fear was the best I could do because it was an amazing time there! WOHOO 🤩🥰🥰

@Ramona Eckenstein glad you chose going and turned out even better than you thought 🙌
Not as planned, but some nice adjustments! 🏃‍♂️✨
TL;DR: A last-minute meeting almost ruined my workout and nutrition plan. 📉 Despite some "lazy" advice from my partner to just eat my meal prep and skip the workout, I found a workaround by joining a later running club! 👟🌙 Now I’m heading home feeling accomplished and fueled! 🙌🔥 ✨ 👊Question for you: Have you ever had an event mess up your workout where the people around you weren't supportive (or even encouraged you to be lazy!), but you found a clever workaround and got it done anyway? 🏋️‍♀️💪🔥 Full story On Monday evening, I found out I had to attend a meeting from 6–7 PM on Tuesday. 📩 That was exactly when I should have been doing my interval training at the stadium! 🏟️💨 🚫 I had already "boiled my fuel"—a big pot of grains, beans, and seeds—specifically calculated to match my TDEE for that intense training session. 🫘🍲 ⚖️ Initially, I was stumped, so I asked my partner for advice. Guess what reply I got?!? "Just eat them all," knowing full well I couldn't do my interval training! 😱🤯 ❌ 🥘 I was shocked! ⚡ That whole pot was meant to replenish my glycogen after a short burst of exercise; otherwise, I’d be in an extreme calorie surplus! 📈🥘⚠️ I sat down with myself and brainstormed some alternatives to that crazy suggestion. 🧠💡 🤔 Here they are: - 1st option: Eat half on Tuesday and save the rest for Wednesday (but re-weighing everything is such a hassle!). ⚖️🙄 🥗 🕒 - 2nd option: Go to the stadium and run intervals solo (but then no one would be there to watch my bags and belongings). 🎒👀 🏃‍♂️ 🔒 - 3rd option: Join a different running club at a park that starts and ends later, even if their workout is different. 👟🌙 🌳 🏃‍♀️ It’s now Tuesday evening here, and I chose Option 3! 🥳 I’m heading home now, enjoying my "sweet treats" (that pot also contains Whey Protein Concentrate with artificial sweetener) and feeling accomplished! 🥣🍫 🙌🎉 ✨

@F L glad you prioritized yourself and went for what you wanted. Not always people will support you (for different reasons) but you need to stop and ask yourself what you want to do.. great you enjoyed your run and felt amazing.. proud of you 🫶

Training & consistency pays off
The team secured a spot to the finals by 0.4 seconds. To illustrate, that's about the average rate a person blinks. i.e. you're mid-blink and that's it, you've missed it. For Finals, the nerves are up because now we're fighting for a spot on the podium. Deep breath - we've trained like we're racing so that we can race like we're training. We got this! We emptied our tanks! Everything! ALL OUT! Like that race was our last! My heart was pounding! My lungs were burning! 3RD PLACE 🥉 The past month has paid off. We didn't know what to expect because the environment is so new to us - alas, we did our best and the results speak for itself. So proud of our team! 💪 And super thankful for this community's support! ❤️ love y'all very much! ❤️ We're taking rest for the week; a few of us are going to barre tomorrow, with special request to my barre teacher to guide us through stretching to release and recover post-race.
