How does copyright of written information work in an AI environment?

Downloading the app. - How do I do this on a lap top. I am so tech challenged I don't know about QRcodes. I work on a laptop not a phone. I am here to try to get informed. The only AI I have ever tried was to make a photo into a coloring page in ChatGPT and I failed. So I'm pretty sure I'm in the right place. Also have a fear factor. As a writer I don't want my words havested by AI. Thanks for listening.

My take away from Day 1. The stages of AI a) for answers b) as a daily work partner giving AI context c) working for you.Knowing we train AI to work with and for us in step b.) is key. I found this reassuring. Like anything, taking the time to lay a firm foundation will pay off.
