Hi all - Heading to Sonoma in a few weeks, staying in Glen Ellen. Any wineries to recommend?

Hello my friends, My husband and I along with some wine appreciating friends, are on a tour in South Africa. We spent 2 days doing a safari and today, we are in Cape Town visiting 2 wineries. Of course, I had to wear my Slik Wine t-shirt. It is a bit early for me to drink wine (10am) but I will sacrifice myself. PS. We had a long day yesterday and I fell asleep after taking a shower. Please don't judge the hair.

PSA for anybody in the Chicago area - Vin Chicago does monthly wine tastings featuring their new inventory. It is only $10 per person with a really great selection of offerings! We went tonight and really enjoyed it! Left with a Southern Rhone GSM blend, a Garnacha from Calatayud and a Sauvignon Viognier blend also from the Rhone region.

Just returned from a trip to Disney World and a stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. While not expecting much I tried a wine flight at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised by one in particular. It was a 2021 Spice Route Chakalaka. Grenache blend. Very drinkable with a reasonable price point. I have very little experience with South African wines but after this would love to explore more. Has anyone tried this wine or had a good experience with other labels from South Africa?
