This saying usually refers to diplomacy or conflict. The three edges are your truth, their truth, and the real truth. It is certainly the way it is in conflict or negotiation. It also applies very much to people like us here seeking to be our best selves. This applies to us all individually. The three edges are the truth we perceive, the truth we want, and the real truth. We very often have trouble separating\seeing the difference between the three. As we travel on our paths, the truths change, further confusing the three. The three edged sword applies to our interactions with each other too. My truths are different than others truths. Theirs are different from each others. As for the REAL truths, who really knows what those are? We all have beliefs which may be OUR truth, but are they the REAL truth? As we strive to seek the TRUTH, it's important to remember how subjective and diverse that can be.
