Muscle loss
Did you know that after the age of 35, the average person loses between 0.5% and 1% of their muscle mass annually, which translates to a loss of approximately 5% to 10% of muscle mass every decade!? Some sources indicate a rate of 1% to 2% per year, meaning a loss of 10% to 20%. The only way of stopping this is... tarara STRENGTH TRAINING! :)

Agreed Leszek, but the problem I am finding as an ‘older athlete’, is that alongside strength training, I am also picking up injuries that prevent me from doing my other activities.

Hey, I’m Leszek, your coach for this journey. When I first got into coaching, I thought I’d be working with elite athletes chasing medals. But I discovered my real passion is helping everyday people who feel like fitness has never “stuck” for them. You haven’t failed. You just haven’t found the right approach yet. That’s what this space is all about. In this free intro course, you’ll learn how to: ✅ Build simple habits that actually fit into your life ✅ Train in a way that feels good (not punishing) ✅ Make fitness something you enjoy—not dread This community is here to support you. Ask questions, share wins (big or small), and most importantly—show up for yourself. To kick things off, drop a quick comment below with: 1. Your name 2. Your biggest struggle with fitness right now 3. What you’d love to get out of this course Let’s do this together – Leszek

Miles: I’m now 61 and whenever I have a good run of activity eg recently getting a pb in snatch, I get injured. I’d like to pick up fewer injuries and develop better habits so that I can enjoy other activities too.
