New watch day
My first Citizen watch. Going to use this to replace my smartwatch on a day to day basis. I fell in love with the aviation style when I first saw one. This one having the 24hr is a nice bonus. I'll need a black band for it at some point so I can match leathers. My only other non smartwatch is a Fossil diver with 3 sub dials I got over 20 years ago. That one is a little beat up.

How an EXPERT Shines Shoes (ft. Champion Shoe Polisher Anders Sundström ‪@arterton.london‬)
Meet Anders Sundström, the Swedish champion of shoe shining. Anders is taking us through the advanced stages of a shoe shine. This is where we transform that ordinary polish and shine into something really quite exquisite that you really don’t see anywhere else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H15-7RvwCro

I used cotton t-shirts as a polish cloth all the time when I was in the Navy. Got some great shines on my shoes with it.
Making A Smartwatch… SMART!
I was sitting in a meeting recently with a supplier partner to the business. Not overly dressed, suited for the situation, with a beautiful Tudor watch. For me the sort of watch is outside my price range but it brought that little touch of class into line with the rest of the outfit. I’ve been using a lower end smart watch for about a year now, in honesty… with just a rubber strap, I know I know! After catching a recent RMRS video following this meeting I decided, enough was enough! I’ve upgraded the watch with two new straps, tailoring to match metals or indeed leathers when needed. Still need the rubber for the gym to avoid friction, but changing the watch face is also key. Making the watch stay on constant, avoiding notifications. For me, it’s very much a watch that can support when I need it to, not to distract my attention. What do you guys think of the upgrade? Think it passes? Or is there just no way to replace a good old wrist accessory.

I do something similar with my smartwatch. I bought a bracelet band for it. Looking to pick up black and brown leather bands. I also change the watch face depending on what I am wearing. I think it works. At least until I can invest in a few regular watches.
Gut punch news
As many of y'all know, I battled a shoulder rotator cuff tear the better part of the last year which I successfully managed to recover from after surgery and PT. This evening, I received news in the form of the radiologist review that I have a lateral meniscus tear in the front, back, and sides as well as a torn ACL and a meniscus tear. I messaged my Physical Therapist who I’ve become friends with over the rehab of my shoulder and her response was “Curious if they’ll wanna do a repair to opt for a knee replacement?” Gentlemen, I’m at a loss right now. I know that surgery is likely, but I have to admit that for one of the few times in my life, I’m scared. I’m not looking for sympathy or playing the “woe is me” card, I needed to get this out because I’ve kinda just shut down emotionally this evening to everyone, plus I’m currently on vacation and the life has been sucked out of me. Thank you for letting me get this off my chest.

That sucksn sorry to hear that. My wife went through something similar. She had her meniscus and ACL repaired. Shes been doing pretty well since then. She only had one meniscus tear if I remember correctly.
Waist and chest size
I've lost 18 inches of my chest and waist. That's a foot and a half. I'm not special. If I can do it, you can do it!
