Mounjaro Injection Sites
For the first ten months on Mounjaro, I never really felt much difference between injection sites. I used my stomach, upper thighs and the back of my arm and if anything, I thought my stomach was my best area. That has completely changed over the last couple of months. My stomach has gone from being my go-to area to the one place I now avoid. I can’t say for certain why. I’ve lost over 12 stone from my heaviest and I do have loose skin around my stomach now, so maybe I’m not hitting the fatty area the same way I used to. Maybe absorption has changed. I genuinely don’t know. But I do know how it feels. When I inject into my thigh or the back of my arm, the Mounjaro feels much more effective for me. There is no comparison at the moment. It’s a good reminder to pay attention to your own body. What worked at the start might not always feel the same later on. Has anyone else noticed a difference depending on where they inject?

I was always stomach and decided to jab my arm Saturday and I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect but my suppression is there and I feel wiped out it’s crazy as have not felt that in a couple of months and I’ve moved down to 12.5 and was nearly panicking that the 12.5 wasn’t working and I’m floored this week 😂
Mounjaro Changed More Than My Weight
I’ve just uploaded my first proper YouTube video documenting my Mounjaro and weight loss journey. I’ve been on Mounjaro for just over a year now and I’ve lost 7 stone on it. Overall I’m down 12 stone from my heaviest weight. But honestly the biggest change hasn’t been the number on the scales. It’s been what changed in my head. In the video I talk properly about food noise, binge eating cycles, feeling judged eating in public, building your whole life around your weight and why every previous diet felt impossible to stick to long term. I also talk about the negativity around GLP-1 medications and why I think people massively underestimate what it feels like when food stops controlling so much of your day. This is the start of me documenting the journey properly on YouTube, not just the weight loss side but the mindset, fitness, maintenance and everything that comes after. I’d really appreciate it if you could give it a watch and subscribe to the channel. I’ll be putting out more videos around Mounjaro, GLP-1s, weight loss, training, maintenance and the reality of trying to build a healthier life long term. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/@MarkFearo And if you do watch it, drop a comment under the video and let me know what part you related to most. That would really help the channel and it also helps more people find this kind of honest conversation.

How do you know you’ve lost enough?
I think I still look a bit big but overall recognise that I’m much smaller on appearance, size and scales etc. I know it’s not just a number, my shape would be improved with strength training and the numbers would go up because muscle weighs more than fat. This is a new journey for me. I’ve been this weight before when I was in my late teens. I’ve not got an adult reference and even if I did it would be different. I’m now in my early 50s, female, in menopause, have early stages of Lipedema and been overweight my whole adult life so I don’t know any different and my skin is damaged. Please share your experiences or thoughts.

Let’s talk about the weird obsession people have with tearing down anyone on Mounjaro… and the people quietly putting up with it. If you’re on Mounjaro, you’ve heard it. That’s cheating. You’ll gain it all back. Just eat less and move more. You’re taking the easy way out. Some of it comes from strangers. Some of it comes from people close to you. That’s the part that hits different. I want to hear it properly. What’s the worst comment you’ve had? And did you say anything back or just leave it? And for anyone saying this stuff, be honest for a second. What’s actually behind it. Is it frustration because you’ve been trying for years and nothing’s worked. Is it pride because you went through it the hard way and think everyone else should as well. Or is it just discomfort watching someone else change while you’re still stuck. Because the reality is this. Nobody on Mounjaro is skipping the work. They’re still turning up. Still training. Still trying to undo years of habits that didn’t happen overnight. The difference is they finally have something that helps them stay consistent. If you’re on it, you don’t owe anyone an explanation.

I was asked if I was ill as I lost too much weight and I was told not to lose anymore as I look old and number 1 I am going on 51 and obviously I am aging and it really hurts as ,should I put back on 5 stone again as I was not shamed as bad for losing weight 😒 and that’s why I keep it to myself for been on monjaro it’s horrible
Reducing consultation
Hi just got an email from my BMI to say they are reducing the consultation fee and wondering if it’s across the board on all doses and it’s about time as it’s ridiculous the price 😊
