@Mark Fearon just catching up with your posts on Facebook. I noticed this one from yesterday. It made me laugh 😆

I Didn’t Realise Food Controlled Me
One of the biggest changes for me on Mounjaro had nothing to do with the scales. It was the mental side. I genuinely thought constantly thinking about food was normal. Planning meals all day. Thinking about snacks. Looking forward to takeaways more than the actual event itself. Going somewhere and immediately thinking about what food would be there. I didn’t realise how much space it was taking up in my head until it suddenly wasn’t anymore. That’s why I always say Mounjaro doesn’t just change your body. It changes your relationship with food. I still enjoy meals. I still eat out. I still enjoy weekends. But food no longer dominates my thoughts from morning to night. For me that has been the most life changing part of this whole journey. Curious if others here noticed the same thing? What was the first moment you realised your relationship with food had changed?

I was always aware of the food noise, but I can go out now and not be so preoccupied with it or having to do some habit. Like today had a coffee but no cake.
Mounjaro - The part people don't see
Most people outside this space only see the weight coming off. They think that’s the whole story. But if you’re on Mounjaro, you know it goes way deeper than that. You start moving more without forcing it because your energy is there. Your mood settles. You’re not constantly up and down depending on food or guilt. Sleep improves and you’re not dragging yourself through the day. Your motivation comes back. You start thinking about where you’re going instead of just getting through the day. And the biggest one… your head gets quieter. Food isn’t on your mind all day. That’s the part people don’t see. Curious… which one of these have you noticed the most?

I must’ve admit, I don’t really identify with the majority of them. I’m conscious though other issues are more likely to play a part. I seem to benefit only with reduced food noise when MJ is actually working.
The Comments No One Talks About
Let’s talk about the weird obsession people have with tearing down anyone on Mounjaro… and the people quietly putting up with it. If you’re on Mounjaro, you’ve heard it. That’s cheating. You’ll gain it all back. Just eat less and move more. You’re taking the easy way out. Some of it comes from strangers. Some of it comes from people close to you. That’s the part that hits different. I want to hear it properly. What’s the worst comment you’ve had? And did you say anything back or just leave it? And for anyone saying this stuff, be honest for a second. What’s actually behind it. Is it frustration because you’ve been trying for years and nothing’s worked. Is it pride because you went through it the hard way and think everyone else should as well. Or is it just discomfort watching someone else change while you’re still stuck. Because the reality is this. Nobody on Mounjaro is skipping the work. They’re still turning up. Still training. Still trying to undo years of habits that didn’t happen overnight. The difference is they finally have something that helps them stay consistent. If you’re on it, you don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Totally agree. In fact, someone was talking about the jabs today at work and talked about it’s being a cheating option. To be honest, I haven’t disclosed my MJ use only to a couple of friends and my sister. One of my colleagues has just started MJ about three weeks ago and she actually asked me outright but I denied it and I hate it because I’m not one for lying 🤥
TDEE calculator results for weight loss
So I put all my data in, and whether I have a sedentary lifestyle or do light activity it reckons for me to lose weight I need to eat in the range of 1000 - 1100 kcal. Really?
