Moving my content and support to fearo.com
Just a quick update. I’m going to be moving most of my weight loss, Mounjaro and maintenance content over to fearo.com so everything is in one place. I don’t want to spread myself too thin across too many platforms and I’d rather build one proper hub with blogs, guides, podcast links and support resources. Thanks to everyone who joined here. I’ll keep sharing useful stuff through my socials and fearo.com going forward. Mark.

Before Mounjaro Food was my Entertainment!
One thing Mounjaro has made me realise is how much I used food as entertainment. Not just comfort. Not just hunger. Entertainment. Something to do. Something to look forward to. Something to fill time. Before, if I was bored, food was often the answer. If it was the weekend, food became the plan. If I had nothing on, I would start thinking about takeaways, snacks, ice cream or whatever else I could fit into the day. I didn’t realise how much of my life revolved around it until the food noise started to quieten down. Now I find myself doing more things like getting out for walks, going to the gym, moving more and finding other ways to clear my head. That has been one of the biggest changes for me. Mounjaro didn’t just help me eat less. It created space where food used to take over. The important part now is filling that space with something better. More walks. More training. More time with the kids. More living. Food can still be enjoyed. I still have treats. I still have my higher calorie meals. But food is no longer the main event every time I’m bored, stressed or just looking for something to do. That is a change I never expected. Has anyone else noticed this? That once food stops being the main entertainment, you actually have to find other things to fill that space?

Before Mounjaro Food was my Entertainment!
Mounjaro - Don't underestimate walking!
One thing I never really thought about before Mounjaro was how much easier normal movement could feel. I’m not talking about training or intense workouts. I mean walking, climbing stairs, playing with the kids and getting through a busy day without everything feeling like hard work. Mounjaro helped me massively with appetite and food noise. But getting fitter came from what I did alongside it. Walking more, training consistently, eating enough protein and slowly building habits I could maintain. The scales matter. But one of the best parts of losing weight is realising your body is no longer fighting you throughout the day. If you’re early in your journey, don’t underestimate walking. It doesn’t need to be fast or intense. Start with what you can manage and gradually build from there. How much walking are you currently doing each day? Has it become easier since starting your journey?

Split dose
Tried last night so will top up in a few days. Not convinced it’s going to work. I use Shotsy app - naturally the dose levels predictions are lower as I’ve topped up with half the dose. Let’s see.

Sorry wasn't here for a few days. What dose are you? What did you split it to? What days? You need to give it more than 3 days.

@Samantha Torres How's it been going?
10wks in - 7.5mg
Hi All, I am currently 10 weeks into my Mounjaro journey, started at 2.5mg before moving up to 5mg and now at 7.5mg... lost a couple of lbs and in the process of moving upto 10mg in the next two weeks. My experience hasn't been what I expected to be honest, felt nothing and had no side effects at 2.5 & 5mg (not complaining), at 7.5mg ive had a little heart burn and slight reduction in food noise but nothing major, I kind of feel I have no choice but to move upto 10mg but must admit its a little disheartening when others have great results at smaller dosages (I know we all react differently) just wondering if anyone else has had similar circumstances with Mounjaro? Hi Steve, apologies, I completely missed this when it came in over a week ago. @Steve Dobie I know it can feel disheartening when you see other people getting strong results on the lower doses, but I’d try not to compare your journey too closely to anyone else’s. Some people feel a strong effect early on and some people don’t really notice much until the higher doses. A couple of lbs is still movement in the right direction, but I do get why you expected more by now. I’d also say it’s worth having a proper look at calories, protein, fibre and general food choices alongside the dose, because the medication can help but the basics still matter massively. Definitely speak to your provider about the move to 10mg, but you are not the only person who has had a slower or less obvious response at the start. How has the past week been since you posted this?
