Engagement Through Value + Charity
After getting feedback from this community and others, my current strategy is to have a free tier and a $9 subscription tier, with another tier to be added at some point in the future. It's important that this not get salesy, at all, period, since I have many corporate clients' employees on the site. Nor can I deploy common engagement tactics, as they will turn off corporate employees. Therefore, the current line of thinking is to deploy an AI education and charity model, where 40% of subscription fees (after Skool fees and credit card fees) will go to charities sponsored by the community. There will be a select few charities based on my direct relationships: I sit on the board of one (youth mentoring); my friend, former NFL great Herman Moore, has a charity; and I belong to an organization that sends teams into areas damaged by natural disasters like hurricanes, flooding, and earthquakes. To clarify, this is a for-profit business structure with a large giving component. I will publish a high-level cost and giving structure, for example: Subscriptions − Skool Fees − Credit Card Fees = Eligible Revenue for Giving. Then Eligible Revenue × 40% goes to designated charities. The balance funds the community's educational mission. The idea is that by subscribing to the community, you support free AI training for all, gain access to advanced training modules through a voluntary subscription, and a portion of your subscription fee goes to sponsored charities. Open to thoughts. Thank you.

☀️ Builder's Morning
Two kinds of progress count this week: 🌟Something you learned that's new, or 🌟Something you already believed that got confirmed. Both matter, and the second one deserves more credit than we usually give it. Which did you get this week? Share it below, big or small, and let's celebrate the progress that doesn't always announce itself.

Took the Score Your Community quiz? This is the thread. Drop your scorecard in the comments. Haven't yet? Eight questions, about three minutes: https://skoolology.netlify.app/ The quiz gives you a Copy my scorecard button, so pasting it here takes two taps and a quick comment. 1) Add your priority area and the first move you're making this week 2) Search comments for others with similar challenges Builders working on the same area will find you in this thread, and that is the entire point of this room. A few things to know before you post: 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Our own community read low on its first pass through the framework. A score is a map of where to work, not a grade on you, and the builders who post honest numbers are the ones who improve fastest. Nobody in this thread is keeping score on you. The framework already did, and now we get to work. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱. If your numbers came back strong but your community isn't booming yet, it means one of two things. Either the room is strong inside and people can't find it, which is a Reach problem, and Reach has different fixes than Build. Or the grading was a little generous, which happens to everyone scoring their own work, and the capstone in the course cures it with one rule: evidence for every number. Post your scorecard and say which one you suspect. Both are fixable, and both are more common than booming. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘆. You do need to be a member to comment or post. Some courses are in the private part, members only. So, share at whatever level feels right. The full scorecard is great if you're comfortable with it. If you'd rather keep your numbers private, one line does the whole job: "I scored lowest in Kinship, and I'm working on it this week." That's all the right people need to find you.

I appreciate the feedback @Todd Thornton and @Donna Thornton , and this may sound odd, but my engagement rate is an organic rate. Outside of the benefit of being promoted by Skool, I could run incentives for engagement, but is that the goal for this community - I wonder? My premium community is starting soon, I get growing that. What the data is showing us in AI Bits and Pieces is organic engagement from the content. In short, people like the way I explain AI, especially as beginners. As part of my consulting service, I provide free AI education to all employees free via AI Bits and Pieces. One client has over 100 employees in my community. Therefore, I am very careful about running incentives, product promotions, hard selling of books, etc. I also don't offer in AI Bits and Pieces may "make money" methods, education, etc. I suspect that drives allot of interest. My target audience is people looking for a trusted source for the AI Curious, AI Enthusiasts, and AI Practitioners. I am not targeting builders, agencies looking for sales advice, or enterprise AI services - this is what my premium community and consulting agency offers. The goal is to have higher quality conversations and build relationships. I have 10 very dedicated members, all with different skills, that contribute to comments and posts on occasion. In addition, AI Bits and Pieces brings accomplished community owners that specialize in Claude Code, Intellectual Sovereignty, AI OS, AI Sales, (like @Muskan Ahlawat), etc. AI Bits & Pieces is about helping people in life and in business adopt AI with confidence. Food for thought. Open to feedback.
