Vacation wines.
We recently went to Lisbon and a 10 cruise to the Canary Islands, Morocco, and Spain. We had some amazing wines. These are the wines we had in Portugal.

Looking and sounding good @Tom Sandkamp . Good Thanksgiving choices. Didn’t see the Pinot bottle. Producer? I had an Oregon PN from Domaine Serene. Been saving it since my visit there in 2020. As good as I remember!
Vacation Wines Continues
I wasn’t able to post all the wines. Here are some more. I posted a bottle of beer from because the label was amazing. I was also ready to join Marie on for the book tour on line from the ship till I realized it was rescheduled. I was sad. Can’t wait to join on 11/30.

@Tammy Matlock there are some big guns from Bordeaux (and Opus) in these pics! How did they get in? I see the Lynch Bages was opened, harder to tell on the Lafite..I'm sure you enjoyed! You mentioned the Canary Islands. They even grow grapes there too!
Why is This Man Smiling?
Because he got Marie’s book! Look forward to the read! 🍷 @Marie Cheslik

Caymus-Suisun RedGale Vinyard 2022 Grenache
Caymus-Suisun Redgale Vineyard 2022 Grenache from Solano County, California. This wine is modeled after France’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape style which we enjoyed last night, the Domaine Lou.The vines, I read are head-trained and grown in deep red soil embedded with large stones, with strong winds and abundant sunlight driving the vineyard’s unique terroir. The wine maker talks in details about how this small vineyard that has the SF Bay in the distance gets 20 mile an hour wind and that these vines started in 2018 are really starting to make great wine. Nose: Strawberry, pomegranate.Very smooth and bold fruit compote of red fruit… Very nice after a few hours of pickleball 🤣

Cheers is right @Tom Sandkamp . My day is just starting, I'm still having coffee and now I want Grenache! Thanks for this post. I too am on a bit of a Grenache kick these days. Great match with food of the season.
