Schumacker Vinyards, Oregon
So far this Oregon Pinot is my favorite!! Cherry nose, perfect balance, velvety mouth feel, light tannins and light red fruit finish.

@Tom Sandkamp thanks for sharing this one. I have not heard of Shumaker. Just read up on them. They are at the north end of Willamette. Founded by a physician who has quit his practice and now focused 100% on the vineyard. I like the way they refer to themselves in short-hand: "ShuVin"! I will have a post later today/tomorrow regarding a wine event I am doing that includes another Oregon Pinot I want you to know about. Stay tuned..

Wine Diamonds
Shine bright like a diamond…Actually any info on wine diamonds?

@Tom Sandkamp it is tartaric acid. Forms during the fermentation process when wine is stored below 50 degrees F. More often seen in whites. Can be found on the cork too. Harmless, but they don't look very appealing in the glass!
Oregon Wines on a Sunday Night
Smooth finish, can taste the oak.Red fruit color and taste.Mellow tannins, which I love.Sour cherry, maybe pomegranate??Light purple color almost like a tawny port or cranberry juice.Very enjoyable and easy drinking.Pommard and Dijon grape blend?

@Tom Sandkamp thanks for these new posts. I’m already on the record with you and everyone else here about my love for Oregon PN. The whole cluster technique looks like it helped the wine stand up to your delicious looking steak! 🍷
