Tip of the hat to you SIR! Congratulations....
Southwest Mushrooms Featured in Arizona PBS Documentary
Excited to share this one with you all — Southwest Mushrooms was featured in "The Story of Arizona's Good Food," a full-length documentary produced by Local First Arizona and premiered on Arizona PBS. The film is a 55-minute deep dive into Arizona's food system — the farmers, growers, and producers working to feed our community while navigating real challenges like water scarcity and farmland loss. There's a segment on how mushrooms are made (that's us!) alongside some incredible Arizona producers like Duncan Family Farms, Machokoto Family Farms, Blue Sky Farms, and many more. Watch the full documentary free on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGyqIs-Sdl0 It's a powerful reminder of why local food systems matter and why what we do as growers — whether commercial scale or closet grows — is part of something bigger. Would love to hear your thoughts after watching. What part resonated with you? Did anything surprise you about the challenges facing Arizona agriculture?

Haven't watched it yet... but the NOT surprisingly would be the extreme heat & low humidity. Will watch to find out if I gain some knowledge on what I would consider surprise challenges . 🤔

Sunday Check In. How's Everyone Doing?
Happy Sunday everyone. We've had a ton of new members join this week and I want to make sure everyone feels welcome. If you haven't introduced yourself yet, go drop a post in Introduce Yourself. Tell us what you're growing or what you want to grow. For the growers already in here, what are you working on this weekend? Inoculating, harvesting, building out your space? Drop it below. Also wanted to share this. A while back FOX 10 came out to the farm and did a whole segment on our lab and grow operation. If you want to see how Southwest Mushrooms runs behind the scenes, check it out: And don't forget, Weekly Q&A is tomorrow at 5pm Phoenix time. Bring your questions, I'll be live answering everything.
