Dk if this is a controversial comment to drop, but I think that “interference” is definitely worth considering in the context of things like sprinting/jumping when that’s a clear focus. In terms of just enjoying training and for gen pop I’d agree it’s a negligible effect and a damaging distraction/nocebo. I think there’s definitely a level of generality that’s a minimum for health, but in the context of just improving sprints/jumping, I’ve found reducing the amount of metcon sessions and longer runs I did left me feeling way fresher.
