As we go into the christmas lull, and football practices stop for a while what do you do to keep an 8 year old interested in staying fit and active now that it is dark, cold and wet outside ?

My 8 year old is not the tallest and has been told by various academies that he is technically very good but they are concerned he wont reach over 6 foot 2 at least. He currently plays grassroots, national league academy team and a PL foundation team. Beside covering the angles does anyone have advise for him on how to compensate for a lack of height when in the goal especially as they move up in age and the goals get larger.

Hi, my boy wore his gloves for the first time at the weekend and the palms have worn like they’ve been worn 20 times? They were pre washed and aloud to dry naturally in the airing cupboard, no heat used. 😔
