I see how Travis takes IOI's from posts, polls, emails etc and turns those into leads through conversation. I'm curious... Let's say you're trying to grow your community using social media like fb or linkedin but you don't have much of an audience on either. So you're making new connections. Has anyone experimented with how quickly you're making the invite to the community to new connections? One way is dming your new connections with an invite to the community upfront using some version of the best opener for cold outreach Travis recommends in Leads On Demand funshop 3. Another way is you start a conversation with a new connection, have some back and forth than make the invite to the community. Just curious if anyone is finding they prefer one over the other or some other way I'm not thinking of?

I figured out my "lead game" by getting girls phone numbers. I was a young man in the Navy when I got stationed in San Diego as an instructor for the Advanced Electronics School on 32nd Street Naval Base. I'd go with my buddy: "Jeffrey LaFrance" Say his name in your "Grey Poupon" voice. Very aristocratic sounding! He was 6' 2", blonde with blue eyes. Looked like Dolph Lundgren. Next to him, I looked like Danny Devito. Plus, I was a squid with a funny last name... It was like Dolph versus Danny Devito. You'd think Danny wouldn't stand a CHANCE, right? BUT... Here's what would happen... We'd go to the Red Onion on Mission Beach. Jefferey would get 2 or 3 phone numbers. I'd leave with a pocket full of 12 or more. (KIDS: This was the early 90s, we still had to write down phone numbers!) I've never forgotten. I do the same thing online. From email to social to Skool. In a world where group owners have a hard time getting 40 likes. I can get 40 leads and turn them into $10k to $25k cash that day. In tiny communities and with tiny lists. It's not hard.
