Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been as active on here, school's been making it hard to find time to do art. But in the midst of finals I did get a pet portrait commission that I worked on. I had a especially hard time with the hand (hands are hard!) and the eyes since they are closed in the picture. I think it definitely ended up looking great, and its interesting to see how my pet portrait style has evolved. Sometimes I think if your on social media too much your too busy chasing other art styles to notice the one right in front of you. Anyway would love to hear feedback, its been a while since I have had an art community to chat with!

I would love to hear your recent celebrations Whether it’s art related or not. Lets keep the support for one another going! I’ll go first. In June I was selected for a public art grant. After two months of waiting for the legal documents to get filed and insurance paperwork to get finalized. The city is finally cutting the check so I can get started. If you are in the Castle Rock area, soon there will be a new piece installed in downtown. I’ll keep you posted if you would like to come hang out or stop by as I will be working on it over the next month

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet lately! I’ve been working diligently to finish my comic, and I’m happy to say it’s DONE! 🎉🌽 With the school year approaching, my schedule is about to get a lot busier, which means my time to create will be a little more limited. While I’m waiting to send the comic off to the printers, I’ll continue working on my comics whenever I can find the time. The important thing is—I got this issue finished, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. This project has been a marathon, not a race, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward with the Cryptid Corn Guy universe. 👽🌽🎪 For now, here’s a look at the finished cover… and a potential page from Issue #3! 👀 Thanks to everyone who continues to follow, support, and encourage this crazy little comic of mine. These are some ink sketches I made for a LARP that I attend. I know super nerdy. I used to frequently work with Ink, doing noir style lighting with the hard shadows and running comic book styling. It has been a long time since I had last picked up a pen and I only got back into this about a year ago. These are the ones I'm most proud of currently. I'm hoping to get some of these off the sketchbook and into an actual frame able piece soon. I find having a story line to follow is the best inspiration.

I am really happy with the results of this painted Magic card, but I really struggled to recreate the iridescence of the snake skin. Anyone have tips on painting something like that?
