Sore Muscles?
Sprained and pulled muscles can hurt as bad as a broken bone, but relief can come from your spice cabinet ✌️❤️ This rub is also good for poor circulation issues. Because of the Pepper 🌶️ in this it can only be used on unbroken skin and externally so keep that in mind. I call this one Senseless Hippy Step 1 infuse your choice of oil (I use sweet almond oil) Clove Cayenne Pepper Cinnamon Camphor The oil should have a nice deep red color. Clove and camphor have analgesic properties meaning the cause numbness ❤️ The cayenne calls the body to action!!! It also helps aid circulation and can even stop a heart attack in progress. The cinnamon also aids circulation and has beneficial warming effect actually all 4 are warming herbs. You can use the oil as is or turn it into a salve or balm ✌️❤️ I use this balm after a long day of foraging and it's great for gifts ❤️

@Jade Adams is love to chat sometime, thanks 😊 yeah chronic pain is no joke - when it’s higher on the pain scale (than I usually deal with) for several days I just want to crawl out of my own skin 🥲 I’m sorry you can relate
Fun Fact Friday!🌱🤓
Share a cool fun fact you know! Bonus if it's plant or nature related but no wrong answers here. I love learning new things!

Vanilla extract
So I have vanilla beans from Madagascar and I'm getting more in the mail. I plan on making vanilla extract and I got Jim Beam to put the beans in. I plan on letting them sit for a year so I can send them out to my parents for a Christmas present next year. Any advice from anyone who's done this?

I haven’t done it but I did receive some as a gift one year and it was definitely one of my favorite gifts! I was sad when it ran out. My sister did leave the beans in when she gave it to me, if that counts as a tip
Trash & Evergreens!
As deciduous trees and herbaceous plants go dormant, trash and evergreens are popping out! What are you noticing with the change of season where you live?

I’m noticing more trash I missed on walks when there were more leaves too. This is also one of the seasons I look for bones - is anyone a fellow vulture culture enthusiast?

@Melanie Weird those are beautiful! 😍😍 I love collecting random things too. I dry mushrooms (my only experience is with oyster mushrooms, but I’m sure there other suitable types) to display, I also collect cool seeds, leaves, feathers, dead butterflies/moths, shells, bones, etc. Maybe I’ll share some photos sometime, I loved seeing yours!
English Ivy is my enemy 😡
Since I moved in a few years ago, there's been English ivy growing on my fence from the neighbors yard and I always daydreamed about ripping it up. However, I was lazy so I would only rip up the portion that grew into my space. Thanks to y'all's inspiration, that changed yesterday when I decided to start making a proper dent in it. My partner and I worked for about an hour before we decide to give it a break. This stuff was really in the fence and the vines got very thick! It's going to be a long process, but slow progess is better than nothing 😊 I am so excited to get rid of this sucker! I also got to pick out loads of great weaving material! Excited to see if I can make something with it.

Great job! That looks like hard work, seriously. I’ve always wanted to try weaving an ivy basket - I’m looking forward to seeing what you make 😊
