I am curious to know how academic institutions in the first world handle ethical use of AI in research. Being from a third world and being an IRB administrator, I have witnessed wide use of AI from the researchers and reviewers, yet no guidelines for ethical use of AI in oir context. Since AI is now with us and we want to utilize it to create more time for ourselves, to what extend can we use it in academia for research? To what extent should reviewers use it for proposal reviews? Has anyone used or developed guidelines on this issue? I am happy to read your thoughts. Thank you.
