I seem to be getting more and more (usually cut & pasted) spam from multiple individuals, who all deliver the same jargon. Does anyone else get this kind of hassle? John

Author Promotion Community
Book promotion is the bane of authors. Why it has to be so difficult and waylaid with fraudsters I do not know. But I have aways thought the real answer lies in authors cooperating with each other to create some sort of living, viable, interesting, even compelling community. This needs to be discussed and Lindsay, maybe you could encourage your members to get involved in the discussion in an ongoing way.

Yes, I've heard that Tiktok can be good but when I tried to use it I found that it was effectively banned in Australia. Basically, the site did not work. What about Discord? I'm hearing some things about books and authors there.

I get regular emails from increasing numbers of promotional sites such as these below. I don't know if any are legitimate but they all have the same sort of messaging and promises. It would be nice to know if any of these were actually real and positive!
