How successful have people been at finding a bona fide promotion scheme?

I seem to be getting more and more (usually cut & pasted) spam from multiple individuals, who all deliver the same jargon. Does anyone else get this kind of hassle? John

Riddle me this…. Why do authors receive multiple emails per day - stating they are interested in their book. Only to then ask if it’s available on Amazon?
