Has anyone used NetGalley before either as a writer or reader?

How successful have people been at finding a bona fide promotion scheme?

I seem to be getting more and more (usually cut & pasted) spam from multiple individuals, who all deliver the same jargon. Does anyone else get this kind of hassle? John
