How to help people meet Physical Activity Guidelines?
I'm looking for papers or other type of resources about that topic.

Train heroic
Im looking at best option for programming and selling my program. I currently use truecoach which requires me to ask clients to set up a standing order with the bank or pay a subscription via Stripe. None of which is automated. How does trainheroic app compare to truecoach n terms of the delivery platform for clients, ease of programming etc? Does it have its own exercise demo library or the scope to upload YouTube vids for demos etc? Are there ways for clients to track progress etc using the app

@Angus Bradley How do you do your standalone one off programs on Shopify? Are they on TH as well or another platform, or spreadsheets? Just debating whether to have everything on TH or not.

Programming metcon classes
I’ve recently started doing more metcon classes with gen pop clients - has anyone got any resource recommendations to learn more about programming these sort of sessions?

Program them for yourself and test them. This is the best way to get a feel for how movements impact each other, how long they are going to take etc The classic CF girl workouts are a good place to start. Fran, Cindy, Helen etc to get a feel for how metcons should look and feel. My best advice is keep it simple. 5 rounds for time of 2 movements or for AMRAPS stick to 3 movements. As mentioned above by Braden doing movements that appose each other like thrusters and rowing are a good way to go. People try to overcomplicate them or make them look sexy. There's a lot of dick waving and pandering to client's egos when it comes to programming for Crossfit classes. 40min+ Hero workouts are a prime example of way too much just for the sake of it. Metcons are supposed to be high intensity, so anything over 15-20mins starts to become zone 2 with movements that get super sloppy and end up causing overuse injuries. The more skill required for a movement, the less intensity someone can bring to it. Pat Sherwood talks a lot of sense around programming. Worth listening to him on the subject.

@Braden Jowers Absolutely. The key is the intention of the workout. If it is supposed to be 'high intensity', e.g really jack your HR, then throwing movements at someone that they aren't proficient in or are too close to max weights means that they start to fail reps very early on and then. spend most of their time starring at the bar trying to recover between failed attempts. This is why the sled is such a great bit of kit. Zero skill and zero load bearing on the body, so you can really get the intensity up. Same goes for the assault bike.
Podcast 124
I’m a bit late to the party and going back through the podcast. Just listened to the episode with Keir and it is absolute gold. Any other episodes that stand out around the business side of things?

@Angus Bradley really enjoyed and got a lot out of the David Grey ones too. Nice to hear about that side of things alongside training and programming 🙏🏼
