JavaScript Projects
Iโ€™m at the point now where I can start working on these mini JavaScript projects. I have the same paralyzing fear I had with The Apple Clone and Findtrend a few months back. Stepping outside of the classroom to create logic from scratch is a scary feeling. Itโ€™s up there with merging onto the highway for the first time as a student driver. In a weird way Iโ€™m looking forward to getting stuck for days and brute forcing my learning ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

I agree, every time I begin a new task it's really daunting. Although merging onto the highway was fun for the first time cus got to press the gas pedal down, now starting the car on a hill without rolling back that's the scary party of driving lessons!

Todo App
Hi! My todo app is done I reckon. I just learned about keyframes that's why there're animated gradients, was experimenting. Only thing I haven't done is add saving to local storage. https://codepen.io/Martyyya/pen/qEOzLNX

When use AI?
At what point in the program do we graduate to using those cutting edge AI tools to speed up the processes like generating the basic structure and the first draft of the app you're going to build and then customize the design and functionality to your requirements and make it your own? Right now I'm using them only as a replacement for google search (although I'd end up reading the answers in stackoverflow a lot of times ๐Ÿ˜…) cuz I'm afraid of the two things. 1) Relying on them so much I miss out on the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and gain the necessary problem solving skills. 2) Hand coding every little thing to the point I miss out on the opportunity to leverage those tools and stay behind the curve. What about you?

I only recommend to use AI to break down and explain code you don't understand, but not to write code itself. That stuff is a dangerous crutch...

@Prudhvi Raj Maddukuri Well personally if I understand something I don't need it explained again, but if you mean finding solutions to a problem as in a how-to do a certain thing (be that make the code shorter and/or more readable or make it more efficient/faster) then sure, as long as the code is written by you already and you think it could be improved but are not sure how. Basically I would suggest only using it like a faster more detailed search engine, but you gotta remember to keep the leash on so it doesn't spoonfeed you too much or even wrong info. Although I am guilty of having it basically complete some functions for me in the past...
Do you have any good codewars katas to share?
Thought to ask if any of you had a memorable kata that either taught you something useful or was just fun to solve. Personally I've started trying out some 5 and 4 kyu ones and those can get really fun sometimes.
