Way to GO!
THIS .... (for all those new speakers dreaming of success)
"If we're constantly looking at our win-loss record to determine whether we are doing well, we're not looking at the right barometer. If you're always striving to achieve a success defined by someone else, I think you'll always be frustrated. There will never be enough championships, never enough wins. And when you finally attain them, if you're lucky enough to do so, they'll only be numbers. Somebody will say you are great or successful, but ultimately you'll know it's an empty success. They only way to get around such an unhappy ending is to continually define your own success. Your definition of success should have more depth than the equivalent of winning a national championship. It should be whatever passion moves you deep in your heart." Chapter One, Maslow and the Maserati from "Inner Excellence" by Jim Murphy So don't let others define your success but don't you dare play small with itty bitty goals. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BABY! Had to share ...

I like this a generally agree but as I look to apply this I am wondering if you can share an example. I believe you are meaning that I would define my own success like # of client marriages saved (a heart centered yet client focused success goal). Is that on track?
Looking forward to connecting
Here is my speakers introduction. But most importantly I am a husband (34 years), father of two amazing (now adult) children living in Houston Texas. My wife and I are living our best life together. My faith in Christ drives everything I do personally and professionally. My focus at 60 years old is writting, speaking and high performance coaching. I have included the introduction for my Keynote, Limitless. I just published my first book in 2024 called Born Limitless and was blessed to hit the USA Today best seller list. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Rick Torrison is not just a speaker—he’s an architect of transformation. As an international speaker, best-selling author, and high-performance coach, Rick has spent over 25 years impacting thousands of lives across the globe, helping individuals and organizations shatter limiting beliefs and step into their limitless potential. In his signature keynote, LIMITLESS, Rick delivers a powerful and electrifying experience that is more than motivation—it’s a movement. Combining real-life stories, proven leadership strategies, and immediate action steps, he equips audiences with the tools to break through barriers, unlock their full potential, and create a legacy of significance. Rick has worked with Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and high-impact leaders, providing practical insights that drive real results. His innovative Roadmap to Significance and six-powerful-questions framework have transformed mindsets, businesses, and leadership cultures worldwide. This is not just another keynote—it’s an invitation to change the way you think, lead, and live. Get ready to be challenged, inspired, and equipped to lead at a new level. Because the only limits you have… are the ones you refuse to break.
