MRI of Acute Compartment Syndrome in the Foot
Here a video about compartment syndrome of the foot. rare, first case for me. I will briefly show the case and findings, then some anatomy in relation to the compartments. this case was surgically confirmed and prospectively reported. If you ever get one of those, I think it will be easy after watching this video. bw chris

That’s interesting, I’ve never made that diagnosis before but I am aware from surgeons that this is a real entity that is clinically diagnosed with pedal pressure meters. Would you be able to share the link for the case? I am much more familiar with biomechanical neuropathy/lateral plantar nerve compression and it looked like there was some T1 atrophy suggesting acute on chronic neuritis to me. Also the edema extends to the lateralninterosseous forefoot musculature so it seems related to the nerve itselve again . Neuritis can result in large swelling in acute on chronic flare ups that characterize the preclinical phases of Charcot. Great case thanks again

@Im Beg This was in response to a case we discussed today in class. It was a hip MRI and I forgot who posted that in the Q& A Once the video is published, I will be able to identify for us. If someone reads this and remembers who, perhaps that can link it here.
