I have started it yesterday with some festive questions about wellbeing. I filmed it in my favourite location in VOCO hotel in Folkestone where my lovely friends work. It is very cosy there and I always feel like in a retreat there.

I have a story ready but need to find time next week to edit it and share it. It is about my scoliosis as a child and my passion for back health.

@Jennifer Kent Apparently I crushed it in November. My juggling Reel got attention and I guess it was because I made myself look silly:-) Reels generally are getting the most attention. My biggest hit was a Reel where I collaboratively mentioned my community partner which has got high numbers of followers and they shared it in their story.
Even small lessons in business can have massive transformations.
I remember when I first started teaching in the community, (as opposed to the health clubs). I had found a hall at 6:30 on a Monday evening. Prime time. I was dead excited, so I set about telling as many people as possible. I spent hours traipsing round local libraries and cafes, asking if I could put posters up on their boards and in their windows. It took ages, faffing about with parking and driving all over the place. It was hugely time consuming, but I had to reach local people, and Facebook was still in its infancy. And I decided older people weren’t to be found online. Well, the result? Nothing. No flood of students, no money ringing in my virtual till. So there I was spending hours, putting in the literal leg work, just because I thought that’s where my clients were hanging out. I figured the type of people who wanted a community class would hang out in places…. well…. in the community. How wrong I was. It turned out they all much preferred a leaflet through the door, and a class that was on their doorstep. Like, right on their doorstep. No good if it was a mile down the road, that was too far. So I set about finding another venue, just on the other side of town, and printing out some new leaflets. Once I understood that, I could target my energy and resources in the right way - by giving my clients what they actually wanted. (Not what I thought they wanted.) Then things really took off 🚀 What part of your business have you struggled with, and then had one of those light bulb moments of realisation? 💡

my light bulbs always start shining when I see that having friends or clients who can champion things for you in their area is a massive help and they do a better job in their community than me. So finding and nurturing those champions is crucial for me.
