I turned 60 in August, I'm learning to live with osteoarthritis in both knees (wearing knee braces/sleeves constantly, started walking with a cane a year ago. Broke my elbow in a bicycle accident two months ago. Kettlebells got me jacked 4 years ago, but life started getting in the way. I used to do high reps, low weight (300 HtH swings with a 12kg) but my scheduled changed. Goals: 1) Get jacked again. Strength and muscular endurance are more important to me now, but some hypertrophy will be welcome. 2) VO2 max training with kettlebells, 3) Loose fat, decrease the spare tire around my gut (although I could not exercise for these last two months due to the broken elbow, so I honestly expected some weight gain) . My biggest problem is finding the energy to get started. I've become really great at giving myself excuses. I am currently visiting family back in the US (a literal Wisconsin Farm Boy) but I fly back to my home in Japan at the end of this week. I should be ready to start my "Road to Recovery and Beyond" next week after I shake off the jet lag.
