Hello
Let me start off first, to say hello and thank you for your service! I signed up for a six year contract in the Air Force at 34 years old. I ran harder and push myself harder to became stronger. My AFAC or some call MOS is 2A651 Aerospace Jet Propulsion. I have a background in diesel mechanics and engine building, but I knew nothing about fighter jets. So this was a learning curve for me mentally and physically. Trying to keep up with younger kids mentally was exhausting. When Covid hit a few of my friends committed suicide. This deeply impacted me and has haunted me since. I thought I could work more and it would help, also ignore the fact those young adults were no longer here. Feel free to tell me about your career in the military?

I served 15 years in the US Army. I joined at 23 years old. 8 have been out for 12 years can't believe I have been out almost as long I was in. I completed 3 tours in combat zones both Iraq (2) and Afghanistan (1). I started as a 19K10 Armored Crew Member and attained 19K20 before reclassification to a 91B20 Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. I served on the PSD Team at Camp War Eagle, Sadr City, Iraq in 04-05. That was a hard tour. Then went completely the opposite my next tour. I got picked to be the senior maintenance advisor to the first Iraqi Maintenance (heavy) Company. In Afghanistan I was assigned as the NCOIC of the ANA Partnership program at NATO Base Camp Stone, Herratt City. Then I need boarded and been living the dream.
