Why join the military?
Why did you decide to join the military? I joined because I wanted to earn money for college. I also hoped that I would be stationed overseas. Both came true! How about you?
Quick question for the community
How many times have you applied for a job and thought, “I’m qualified… so why am I not getting interviews?” Most times, the problem isn’t your experience; it’s how your resume or profile presents you. I’m Davis Addison, and I help students and job seekers fix this gap so their applications actually lead to interviews. Instead of just rewriting resumes, I help with: • Resume review & rewriting • LinkedIn profile improvement • Cover letters that match the job role • job application strategy • Interview preparation support If you’re unsure whether your resume is helping or hurting your chances, you can send it for feedback. Send your resume or message me at:[email protected] Also curious, what do you think is harder right now: getting interviews or passing interviews? Let’s discuss below.

Marijuana moved to Schedule 3
Here's what that actually means for veterans. This is bigger than headlines, smaller than full legalization. For decades, marijuana was classified the same as heroin.Schedule 3 is the federal government finally saying: “This has medical value.” “This is not the most dangerous category.” That matters for vets. What this DOES mean:• VA doctors can talk more openly about cannabis• PTSD, pain, and sleep research just got easier• Less stigma in your medical records• Your VA disability pay is NOT affected by cannabis use. Your benefits are safe. What this does NOT mean (yet):• VA doctors still can’t prescribe it• VA pharmacies won’t dispense it• Federal jobs can still test for THC• It’s not federally legal recreationally. This is a door unlocking, not swinging open. For many veterans, cannabis has already been an alternative to:• Opioids• Sleep meds• Anxiety meds. Schedule 3 doesn’t validate usage, it validates reality. The system is slowly admitting:“We may have gotten this wrong.” Just like debt, healing doesn’t happen with one rule change. But changing the rules changes what’s possible next. If you’re a veteran navigating pain, PTSD, or sleep issues, stay informed.Momentum is building, even if the finish line isn’t here yet.
Va disability
How has everyone’s experience been with VA Disability?
Are civilians different than military soldiers?
What civilian weakness frustrates you the most — and why? I miss the military ranking because every one knows their place and how to move higher. In the civilian world, it is not as defined or documented.
