UPA scandal between Poland and Ukraine
To those of you unaware, Zelensky refused the Polish government's request to change the name of an army unit named after the UPA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_Insurgent_Army and in response Poland stripped Zelensky of Poland's highest honor. The UPA was the military wing of the OUN-B https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisation_of_Ukrainian_Nationalists led by Stepan Bandera https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepan_Bandera which committed a genocide against Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Poles_in_Volhynia_and_Eastern_Galicia of Nazi-occupied Poland between 1943 to 1945. The OUN is known today as a Ukrainian fascist / ethnonationalist organisation which collaborated with the Nazis against the Soviet union. The OUN directly were the administration in Western parts of Ukraine and helped with the Holocaust. Bandera is celebrated in today's Ukraine as a national independence hero who fought against Soviet occupation and with the election of Zelensky and the incorporation of the Azov battalion into the Ukrainian armed forces, the Banderites have increased their influence in Ukrainian society, army and government. The massacres against the Poles by the UPA resulted in approx. 100,000 murdered Poles. Bandera was imprisoned by Hitler after he tried to declare an independent Ukrainian state, moved to a concentration camp, treated like an "honor prisoner", tried in absentia by the Soviet union after WWII and murdered by a KGB agent in Munich. Putin has named the takeover of Ukraine by "neo-nazis, banderites" as one reason for his war of aggression. All of this has caused a massive diplomatic scandal between Ukraine and Poland, two nations who just recently found common ground in their opposition to Russian aggression. The ridiculous part is that the current war has produced plenty of national heroes in Ukraine and it would be fair to name the military unit after one of them instead of a nationalist with an ambivalent past.

I just like to say that I side with the Poles on this issue. Zelensky is an idiot.
drought in Iran?
Water shortage in Tehran was one of the incendiary factors for the December uprising. How is the situation right now during summer? Could the pause be a humanitarian relief effort?
important dates
I think it makes sense that we focus on which points in time could yield a renewal of hostilities: - end of the soccer championship - 30 days deadline - 60 days deadline - midterms - Israeli elections - stockpiles restocked - sand storm season over - enough goods transported through the Strait - diaspora battalion trained? - air defenses repaired and improved What have I missed?
Wild statement by a high ranking Isreali official
This statement is driving the audience into a frenzy. Of course the anti Jewish retard right is having a field day. Comment section saying Hitler is justified, Israel is a genocidal state and shouldn't exist. https://x.com/itamarbengvir/status/2067865510281170957?s=20

Ben-Gvir thinks in groups. he cant see individual humans as possessing the same rights. Its two tier policing with collectivist, ethnonationalist justice and punishment. The middle east is very tribal but it doesnt serve Israel's interests if it succumbs to these tendencies. I respect him for his hawkish, self-defense stance but despise him for his collectivist fantasies and judgement.
