Elbow sleeves
Hello everyone, I'm wondering whether to buy elbow sleeves for bent arm exercises such as dips. I have an anatomical problem where my ulnar nerve dislocates at a certain degree of flexion. With time and the pressure of dips, pain can occur. In short, I wanted to know if you have ever tried elbow sleeves and if they were effective? Do they really reduce pressure? Which brand and model would you recommend? Thanks & have a great day

I've bought Gornation Elbow Sleeves initially for heavier weighted dips. They helped me to feel safer with the weights in the downwards movement. However, as I switched to a more skilled based training, they are especially helpful keeping my forearms warm & reduce pressure when doing one arm handstands. For me it is the same as with Wrist Bands - I usually use them when going to the max but never during warm up or normal exercises such as handstand holds, because I want that every part of my body develops the same. I've used wrist bands especially in the beginning a lot which led to an under development of my wrists compared to the rest.
Front lever
I can do single FL with good form but when started my workout I couldn't hold it instead of proper rest

Hey man, what's the question here or how can we help you?
ABS
How can I get abs ? My split push pull 2times a week and I am training FL 4 times a week and 2 days push.

There is not much more to add from @Pau Sorribas great comment above. Personally I got big, strong as heck abs from training L sit and Dragon Flag. When I got leaner, they get just crazier but honestly? It took 2 years before they really got nuts.
I need help for the muscle up
Guys, I’ve got a problem. Right now I can do 10 pull-ups, 20 dips, and 33 push-ups, so I was thinking about starting to practice muscle-ups. The issue is, I realized I need explosive pull-ups for that, and when I tried, I could only do 4. I’m not sure how to improve them or what kind of routine would help build explosiveness, since I’ve never really trained for it before. Any ideas?

Best for training explosiveness is doing weighted pull ups - you need an increase in strength, not endurance for that. The muscle up will follow then more natural. What I can also suggest is lower weight weighted high pull ups with a clean muscle up swing.
Thank you Simon Imhauser
I first found Simon about 1,5 years ago on Instagram, and it completely changed how I see calisthenics. Before that, I thought you had to do bodybuilding or powerlifting to get really big and strong. I didn’t believe you could build a crazy physique and still do elite calisthenics. But then I saw Simon, 85+ kg, shredded, doing 100 kg dips for reps and 100 kg pull-ups, and my whole perspective shifted. At the time, I was just a guy with mid physique, nothing crazy, training mostly like a bodybuilder/average gym dude. I liked calisthenics, but I didn’t think it could make me jacked. After following Simon and some other heavy-weight calisthenics athletes, I decided to go all-in on weighted basics, mainly pull-ups and dips, with just minimal gym accessories and a bit of calisthenics skills later. I also applied some powerlifting principles to get stronger, not just bigger. The results blew me away. In the last 1.5 years I went from only doing bodyweight dips and pull-ups, to now: - +75 kg pull-up - +20 kg muscle-up - +50 kg dip for 5 reps (had to stop 6 motnhs ago due to sternum pain) I am at 175 cm and 75 kg, pretty lean and stronger than ever. Along the way, I also picked up handstand push-ups, front lever, and even a crappy human flag. lol I know this community is mainly about calisthenics skills, but I just wanted to share how adding weight to the basics completely changed my physique and made learning skills so much easier. Of course, skill work is still more specific, but the carryover from weighted basics is huge. Thanks again Simon for the inspiration 🙌

Nice bro - you're on an insane path! Keep it up. How do you train during the week with heavy ass weighted stuff and skills?

@Pau Sorribas Interesting approach, I'll check that out for the upcoming weeks while maintaining high skill intensity.
