Mudras for relaxation 🙌🏻
Which Mudra do you use when meditating - to calm your mind and body? 🧘‍♂️ 🙌🏻 Both hands at the same time: This is standard when the goal is to calm the entire system. Provides symmetry in the nervous system More stable parasympathetic response Best for mind-wandering, inner unrest, overstimulation Apana Vayu, Chin and Shunya work most strongly this way. ✋🏻 One hand: Used when you want to influence direction, not just calm. - Right hand More active / outgoing / regulating Used if your thoughts are spinning, but your body is calm Can calm you mentally without making you heavy - Left hand More receptive / inward Used when your body is restless or "open" Good for sensitivity, emotional leakage, overstimulation 🧐 How to know what is right: If the system calms down quickly → both hands If something "chokes" or becomes flat → switch to one hand If your thoughts become sharper but not calmer → switch hands, not mudra

Thanks Merethe, Matt and Shin for your posts about the mudras. I've had a book about mudras tgat i downloaded on my Kindle app but typically haven't read it. It was on the "must check this book out one day" list. Now, thanks to your posts, I understand much more about mudras and their importance - I now feel inspired to check the book out. 😊💖✨️💫

It was a wonderful session 😊💖. I really enjoyed connecting in with everyone who was there. Thank you again Matt for these wonderful offerings and for your ability to make it easy to stay absolutely motivated. Just to share how it's going today with the breathwork and showers - My cold shower today was more pleasurable and less shocking to my body. I'm learning gradually that cold water can be tolerable. My body isn't freaking as much 🤣. So i did 30 seconds of cold but not extremely cold water. However, I have to admit that turning the shower control onto the very extreme cold end is still pretty challenging 🥶 but I managed to tolerate about 15 seconds of this at the end, followed by a quick retreat back to the warmer end! So still a work in progress. But slowly getting there. And i'm so much better at remembering to do belly breathing often during the day. I'm happy about this because i seemed to forget a lot earlier 😆✨️💫
